~With The One~ {A Miraculous Ladybug FanFic}

Chapter 1 ~ Late Start

"Mari." A voice spoke up,"Tikki.." Marinette slurred out sleepily. "MARI!" The voice exclaimed pretty harshly, Marinette jumped with a loud "Gahh!". "Tikki you shouldn't scared people like that." She pouted and kissed her hand from hurting, "I wouldn't, if you woke up from your alarm." The kwami said with sass as she rolled her eyes. Marinette's eyes widen and her jaw dropped, she picked up her phone to check the time.

Without saying a word, Marinette dropped her phone on her bed and began to run out of her bedroom to the nearest bathroom. Tikki's eyes widen as she saw Marinette run from the bathroom to the room completely ready for school, she shoved Tikki into her purse without noticing how harsh she shoved, a small "Ouch" could be heard in the bag.

She rushed down the stairs from her room to the bottom floor, her parents tried to talk with her but they couldn't have the chance to, because their daughter left the house pretty quickly.

"Marinette could you please slow down?" Tikki poked her head out of the purse, "We're nearly there." She replied with no emotion. But it was impossible, because of all the little kids who asked her if she was Ladybug, was blocking her way.

~At School~
"I'm here!" Marinette burst opened the door which made a few students jump from their seats."Just go and sit down.." The teacher said with frustration, she nodded and went over to her desk. "So, what's going on?" She asked Alya, her best friend, "Well, we had to choose a topic to learn about Paris and Chloe said 'How about Ladybug?'. So for now we are trying to figure out who she is." Alya answered back. Marinette got scared for a second, but she knew that no one would know who Ladybug really is.

"So, since Marinette is here, we are going to have a project of two." 'Yay's fill the whole room after that statement, students looking at their friend, who they wanted to partner up with, "That I'm going to pick." The teacher continued. Everyone's faces got pale and shocked, the teacher took out a notebook out of her drawer. "Sabrina and Nathanaël" she first said.

"Miss, me and Sabrina are always together." Chloe sassed out, "I've asked your dad if it was okay, and he said it was." the teacher continued. Chloe had a face of defeat and pouted the whole time. The teacher continued until the last three. "Chloe and Kim." Chloe's face was pale, while Kim was overjoyed, she couldn't deal with all of this anymore.

"Can I please go to the nurses room please?" She asked while the teacher nodded. Chloe bashed out of the classroom immediately, while Marinette smirked the whole time, 'Finally' she thought to herself. "Adrien and Marinette." Marinette clenched her fist, red splashed acrossed her face, while Adrien looked at her and smiles, she felt like she was about to pass out in the middle of the lesson. Alya nudged her on the arm and whispered, "Goodluck with that girl." Alya giggled after seeing Marinette's face redder than before.

"And lastly, Alya and Nino." She completed as the bell rung right in time, "Don't forget the due date is in a week!" The teacher spoke up. Alya and Nino looked at each other and smirked, "You won't find her faster than me!" Alya tried to complete with Nino, 'thump' Marinette jumped to the noise, "Sorry! Didn't mean to scare you!" He tried to apologise, but she couldn't catch what he's saying, beacuse 'OMG! Adrien is talking to me!' Was all over her head.

~After School~
"Marinette!" Adrien called out, he looked over left and right hoping to find her, but unfortunately she wasn't in the classroom. After going out of the classroom, he found her on one of the benches with Alya. "Hey, Marinette." He went over closer to the two from where he was at. Marinette blushed harder and harder, when Adrien made steps one by one towards them.

"What's up?" Alya asked, crossing her legs and arms, she knew that Adrien came for Marinette, she was ready to grab her popcorn. "Um, Marinette is it possible if we could go to my house for the project tomorrow? I really can't afford to procrastinate." Marinette couldn't say anything, only a "No! I-I m-mean yes!" Slurred out from her mouth. Adrien's face was priceless, he didn't know what she said, "She said yes." Alya patted his shoulder and shook her head.

After saying their goodbyes to Adrien, "You can't talk anymore, can't you?" Alya questioned her, but all she did was a slight nod. "Girl, you better get used to it! You're gonna be with him for the whole week." Alya gave a week pat on her head and left after that. "Tikki, I'm going to die this week aren't I?" She opened her purse to let the little kwami poke it's head out, the kwami giggled to that statement.

~Marinette's Room~
The whole evening was filled with groans here and there, Marinette took a nap after finishing her homework. 'Knock' 'Knock' a sound from the windows , Tikki was startled from the noise and immediately flew to her regular hiding spot. Marinette did hear the knocking but she was way too tired to go all the way from here to there, but she knew the knocking wouldn't stop if she wouldn't open it.

When she finally got annoyed from all the knocking, she stepped off her bed going straight to the window. She saw a certain cat at the other side of it, she groaned she didn't want to be woken up by a cat. She opened the window to let the fellow cat to go in. "Chat what are you doing here?" Marinette didn't have the mood to act all surprised when Chat was present, "Aren't I allowed to see my purr-incess?" He questioned, "Well you see, I got bored in my place. So I just wanted to talk to you." He continues.
