Chapter 4 ~ He Defended

Everyone started to mumble among themselves, Chloe crossed her arms and waited for an answer. No one answered, it was mostly because most students don't really know who Marinette is.

Alya watched Marinette the whole time, her eyes were full of tears but none fell. "Chloe." A figure behind her said, Chloe turned around to see who called her name.

It was Adrien. Marinette's eyes widen slightly, 'What's he going to do?' She thought to herself. "What's going on?" He asked, arms crossed as her tapped his foot on the ground. "Adrien! I was just asking a question about Marinette to everyone." She answered and puckered her lips to him.

"What question?" He asked, sounding slightly angry, he raised an eyebrows. "You know, just a regular question." She answered, he clenched his fist. He was kind of mad, that was for sure. "Chloe. You shouldn't lie." He sounded annoyed as hell, he wanted to just slap Chloe.

"But I didn't lie." She lied and began to shed crocodile tears. "Chloe! I've got enough of your b*llsh*t!" He cursed out, everyone got his attention. Chloe was frightened, she never got scolded ever in her life. "I heard what you said! I was testing you! And you bullied Marinette! An akuma attack could happen!" Adrien was definitely mad.

Marinette was surprised, 'Adrien. Why is he doing this for me?' She thought to herself. "You go Adrien! We love Marinette!" Rose shouted, Marinettte was surprised, she never thought someone would say that. "Yeah!" Juleka followed, everyone from her class, but Sabrina, started to follow along.

Chloe was shocked, she thought everyone would agree to her. She grabbed Sabrina and stomped her way to the exit. The teachers didn't really care, they just stand there pretending like they didn't hear anything.

Marinette actually started to cry, she never thought anyone would defend her. Maybe Alya or someone else but not Adrien. Adrien made his way towards Marinette, Alya's brain was shipping them crazily. He wrapped his arms around her, 'He defended. Adrien defended me. This guy defended me.' She thought to herself, her eyes widen for a second but eventually closed down.

He stopped hugging her, "Come with me." He smiled and nudged his head to a direction. Marinette gently nodded in reply. He wrapped his arm around her shoulders and walked to the place he wanted to go to. Everyone in their class were shipping endlessly.

He brought her just behind the school, some how students were able to go out of school, at that certain area. The pair sat down on a bench, her face was awfully red. "So, tell me about yourself." He looked down at her, she looked up with an eyebrow up. "After what happened, you want me to talk about myself?" She didn't shutter that was a surprise.

He frowned slightly, "I'm sorry. I-" "Sorry? Why be sorry? You didn't do anything." He was cut off be Marinette being defensive. "You.. You defended me from Chloe. You told her off." She looked down, she didn't want to see him right at this moment. "Can we just forget that ever from happening?" He tried to not sound rude, she was surprised, maybe he just wanted to chat here other than talking about it.

She nodded slightly. The bell rung, it was time for them to head back to class. Adrien stood up, "Oh, and I'll wait for you at the school's entrance, for the project." He smiled and went to class. Marinette wasn't as shy with Adrien anymore, some how. Tikki poked her head out of her purse and smirked, "You better go to class and stop thinking of Adrien or you'll get late." Tikki sassed out. Marinette widen her eyes and ran to her class, as for Tikki, she laughed the whole time in her purse.

~At Class~
"You okay?" Alya patted on Marinette's shoulder, she gave a small response. "You don't have to go to the nurse's office or anything right?" Alya continued, Marinette shook her head slowly.

The last bell rung, "You have a project today, I can go alone." Alya gave her one last smile before leaving the classroom. Marinette wasn't terrified at all, she was surprised that she wasn't. She stood up and followed along with the other students.

"Marinette!" Adrien called out, she found him standing in front of the school's entrance. "Ready to go?" He asked , a nod like always, was Marinette's reply.
