Chapter 12 ~ Like, Love?

He slowly went in the room carefully, as he doesn't want to break anything. Marinette on the other hand, was surprised, she wanted to talk to him even more. As he was walking to her, she hugged him gracefully. "M-Mari?" He stuttered. Marinette looked at him with her brightest smile, "I've been wanting to talk to you, kitty.". He smirked and carried Her bridal style to her couch. She giggled, since she was ticklish.

He dropped her gently on the couch and sat to the empty spot. "So, what do you want to talk to me about?" He asked. Marinette sat down and sighed, "Well, I think I died last night.." She played around with her fingers. "Died? Where were you last night?" He acted all frightened. Marinette looked down on her fingers, her vision is kind of getting blurry.

"Chat do you actually like me?"

His eyes widen. He tenses up. "Why would you say that Mari?" He went closer to her and placed his hand on her shoulder. "Well, it seems like you like Ladybug.. You flirt with her all the time.. And who knows, you might actually be a huge flirt with other girls..." She slowly said while tears start to form in her eyes. "Mari.. I do flirt with only Ladybug. Yes, I do like Ladybug but I love you.." He said as he cupped his hand on her face. Marinette turned facing him. They looked at each other's eyes sparkle. Chat smiled and kissed her on the forehead.

"C-Chat.." Marinette snobs and tears started rolling off her face. "I love you too.. It's just that.. I love someone else." She finally said it. Chat's eyes turned into flames for a second, but remembered that Adrien is probably the "someone else".

"I see Mari. Well, I'm sorry but.. I have to be going.." He looked at her one last time before kissing her on her forehead once more. He stood up and went to the window. He took a breath before jumping back to the mansion.

"Mari.." Tikki came back from the hiding place. The kwami went to get some tissues from the other side of the room and gave them to her. Mari wiped off tears and stood up. "Tikki.. C'mon. Let's go visit Alya." She grabbed her pouch and opened it so that Tikki would go in. "Umm.. Okay." Tikki agreed and went in her pouch.

~Alya's Room~
"How's the project with you and Nino?" Mari asked her best friend. "It's fine. Speaking of project, I still haven't forgotten about you and Adrien.~" Alya sang to her words. Mari could feel a spear pierce through her heart hearing his name for some reason. "I just want to say it again. I don't mind that you two are a couple." Alya tried to make her  as clear as possible for Mari. Mari giggled and shook her head to Alya.

"Hey, Mari. I'm feeling kind of bored.. Let's go to the park." Alya said. Marinette could use some more fresh air, it wouldn't hurt to go out. Like what would go wrong? "Sure Alya." She agrees. Alya grabbed Mari's hand in a swift motion and ran to the door. Mari screamed through the whole trip.

~Park~
The two sat on benches. Mari kissed her hand to relieve the pain from Alya's grip. She was lucky enough to bring some croissants from the bakery. She took one from the plastic bag and nudged Alya to get one, she smiled and took one. There were kids running around in the park and parents talking among each other.

Alya nudged Mari slightly making her choke. She pointed at a direction, "Look at that.". Mari looked at the direction she was pointing at. "It's your boyfriend~" She sang to her words. Mari was disappointed at her view, she wanted to go home immediately after looking at Adrien in a photo shoot. But there's one thing that made her quite mad.

There was a girl with him. It's probably just a girl with no feelings towards Adrien. They have to keep it professional. "Who is she?" Alya asked. "I don't know.." Mari answered. She's slightly jealous seeing that girl hug him. Mari looked over the Alya, who was grinning widely. Alya grabbed her hand and pulled her somewhere near the photo shoots.

"Break time!" The photographer shouted. Adrien went to a table where all the water bottles were. Alya took the chance to grab Mari again. "Hey Adrien, we didn't know that you had a photo shoot here" Alya waved. Adrien had a surprised look on his face when he saw Mari. "Oh, hi." The girl said leaning onto Adrien, "I'm sorry but Adrien is busy. No fans please!" She continued. "Lila, these are my friends." Adrien sounded slightly defensive. "And, I thought that you guys are having a "break"." Alya squinted her eyes on the girl named "Lila". Lila did that same to Alya. She rolled her eyes and pulled Adrien to the other side of the photo shoot.

"What was that for? We were just talking to our friend." Alya crossed her arms. "Alya, let's go to the ice cream shop." Mari suggested. Alya nodded in agreement.

"Lila, what was that for?" Adrien asked, he was siting next to Lila taping on her phone. She looked up at him, "They're obviously fake friends. They just befriended with you for your fame." She tried to sound kind of sad. Adrien widen his eyes. 'F-Fake?'
