You come home after a long day of work and look for your wife.
She's been struggling with depression for months now.
Your daughter didn't tell you until two weeks ago.
But how could she tell you sooner?
She's only 1.
You come home and kiss your daughters forehead.
You ask her where mommy is.
She says she's been in the bathroom all day.
And sure enough she is.
She locked up in there, surely she getting drunk.
You get the key and unlock the bathroom door.
You tell your daughter to go watch TV before you do open the door.
You wait until she leaves.
You didn't want her to see her mother in such state.
You open the door and find your wife in the bathtub with two empty wine bottles, one haft full.
You retrieve the bottles and hold her hand.
Your wife it too weak to even cry.
Without you noticing, your daughter was watching both of you hiding.
You kiss your wife's lips sweetly and slowly.
Then you whisper to her that you love her.
And the she needs to fight this.
For her daughter.
For you.
