Grimmjow's POV
I sat on the floor in front of him while he sat straight up with his hands crossed nervously. His cheeks were a light shade of pink and his brown eyes avoided contact with my blue ones.
It was an awkward vibe between the two of us. I wanted to talk with him, but you could tell he wasn't really up for talking. Hell, I doubt he really wanted to be here at the moment. I mean, I did sort of force him to come up to my room with me.
I needed company.
The awkward silence that filled the room was beginning to get annoying. So I decided it was time to say something to him. Its not like he'll say something first anyway.
"Soo..Ichigo," I finally said, raising my hand to my head to mess with the ends of the bright blue mess I call my hair.
"Yes-?" Ichigo replied softly, fondling with his fingers nervously.
"Um, why don't you tell me about yourself? You're apart of the family now, so why not. "
Ichigo's eyes lit up a bit at hearing those words, and he looked up slightly from his lap.
"Their really isn't much to say about myself," The shy male finally stated, averting his gaze to the ground again.
"Alright then. Why don't we play twenty questions?" I responded.
"Well-..sure, why not."
~~~~~~
The two of us started to get more comfortable as time went by. Although, I wasn't to uncomfortable to begin with. Ichigo was the one who was having a hard time lightening up.
We've been sitting in my room for around an hour and a half now and I'm pretty sure we asked way more questions then twenty. Ichigo was asking me questions like, "What's your favorite color? And What I wanted to do when I grew up." The point is, they were stupid meaningless questions. While I asked him things that were on a more personal scale. The point of the game is to get to know each other much better, right?
"Alright Ichigo," I said, pushing myself off if the floor to sit up straight. "This will be the last question, is that okay?"
Ichigo gave me a small nod in response and pulled his legs a bit closer to himself. "That's fine."
Letting out a small sigh, I shifted my eyes away from his and looked up at the ceiling. "Have you..ever had..your first kiss?" I hesitantly asked the orangette across from me.
His chocolate brown eyes suddenly grew wide at the question, and his once pale cheeks took on a light pink tint. The nervous male sat still, looking only at the ground.
"W-Why do you ask?" He answered softly.
"Well," I began. "I'm just asking a question, it's all apart of game-..ya know?"
Holding his hands together tightly, Ichigo let out a small sigh, and turned around to face the opposite direction of me.
"N-No..I haven't," he finally said softly, putting his head down a bit as he finished.
Honestly, the answer I received surprised me. He was around my age and still hasn't had his first kiss. Usually people first have those things in middle school. Clearly he wasn't one of those people.
"Ahh-alright then Ichigo," I stated, breaking the awkward silence that came over us again. "...Guess we're done with this game for today. Thanks for keeping me company."
~~~~~~
"Hey! Dinners done, come downstairs!" Neliel shouted, clanging together two empty pans she held in her hand.
Footsteps sounded around the house shortly after her yelling. Soon everyone was gathered around in the kitchen, standing and waiting for her to serve plates. She started with the youngest, which was Ichigo and I. Next was Nnoi, followed by Szyael, after him was Halibel, and last was Starrk. I took my plate and gave my younger sister a nod of thanks, and Ichigo did the same. We then sat down at the coffee table in the living. Starrk immediately took his plate to his room. He was never the kind of guy to sit around the everyone. For some odd reason that pissed me off. Halibel sat in the living room with Ichigo and I. It was awkward as hell with her there because she kept eyeing the both of us down. To fix that, I told Nnoi to stay downstairs with us, but as always he went to Szyael's room with him.
I watched Nnoi walk up the stairs until he disappeared from my sight. Seeing his figure completely vanish pissed me off. He always did that, you could imagine how annoying it is getting ditched for Szyael all the time.
Trying to ignore the small situation, I began to eat the food made by my sister. It was pretty good, infact, I can't really remember a time where she's made something that tastes bad. So I finished dinner pretty quickly.
After dinner was done, Ichigo washed his plate and carefully placed it in the dry rack. I on the other hand, slipped my plate in the sink and ran upstairs quickly, grabbing Ichigo's hand of course. Dragging him to my room yet again.
"Damnit Grimmjow," The orangette said curtly. "What is it this time?" He finished, pulling His hand from my grip.
"Damn, no need to be so hostile. I just wanted company again." I replied, a malicious grin pulling at the corners of my mouth.
"Hey Ichi?"
"What is it?"
"You want to go somewhere with me?"
Ichigo looked over at me. He wore a confused expression. At the same time however, he looked frightened.
"U-Um.." He stammered. "It's dark out Grimmjow..could we maybe do that-another time?"
"Tch, what are you afraid of the dark or something?" I sarcastically asked, looking over at him from the corner of my eye. "Let's go, we'll be home in like..ten minutes Ichigo."
The orangette let out a sigh, followed by a small nod in compliance. "Fine..have it your way."
