Grimmjow's POV

It was morning before I knew it. The bright light of the morning shown through the long curtains that clearly weren't working well enough, just like every other morning. The difference with this one was that a certain orange haired boy laid beside me. He was out cold, hugging the pillow he had taken from under my head the night of. I had to admit, seeing him sleep so soundly sent a feeling of relief through me. Remembering last night only brought bitter memories to mind. I mean, it was not really THAT big of a deal, but it was still upsetting  to see. Watching the orangette twist and turn like that. Seeing him wear such a distressed expression really did hurt a bit.

A loud clanging noise suddenly brought me from my thoughts. The noise came from downstairs, meaning Gin was being obnoxious as usual with the pots and pans. Him clashing those together was his annoying way of summoning us all downstairs to eat. I let out a sigh, clear irritation heard through it as I looked over to Ichigo again.

"Hey, it's time to get up now."

Ichigo opened his eyes slowly, closing them again slightly when the bright sun light hit his face.

"It's time to eat." I informed him, watching him push himself up from the pillow groggily.

When he was sitting up on the bed completely, he pulled his arms up in the air and stretched. His back cracked and I couldn't help but cringe a bit at the noise. Despite doing that often myself, hearing other people do it still kind of grossed me out.

Ichigo finished his "morning stretches". When he did the orangette and I walked downstairs together. On the way down we saw Nnorita. Szayel right behind him.

"Mornin' Grimmjow. See the kids still on your hip." Nnorita said, clearly being sarcastic about it.

I rolled my eyes, walking past the lanky male.

"And I see you're still usually close with your brother."

Both Nnorita and Szayel gave me a menacing glare. It was clear that neither of them were fond of the statement made towards them. That didn't matter, considering I wasn't fond of there either.

Breakfast came to a close. The usual commotion and disorder while trying to clean up was present as usual. Followed by Aizen standing creepily in the doorway making sure some of us didn't begin fighting each other with kitchen utensils. That little bit was usually Nel and Nnorita. I OK the other hand showed Ichigo where all the dishes were. He got the hang of it rather quickly, it wasn't a hard thing to do anyway.

When we finished cleaning the kitchen, as always Aizen disappeared. My siblings all scattered to there rooms only to leave Ichigo and I in the living room. This day was different then the others. The aura that surrounded us was tense. On top of that, the fact that the orangette was uneasy was clear as day. Occasionally his eyes darted around the room, checking each place that fit to be a hiding spot. That put me on edge.

"Ichigo." I said suddenly, grabbing his shoulder gently.

Ichigo looked at me when my hand made contact with his shoulder. His eyes were dull, and his stare was cold.

"I know I know...I still have a bit of explaining to do."

I rubbed his shoulder, trying to reassure him that everything would be alright. Trying to remind him that he was in a better place now. "Just take your time. It's really important though that we do find out who that man was as soon as possible."

Ichigo's gaze averted from mine. He was tense, clearly shaken from the situation at hand. The sooner him and I cleared this up, the better.

"The man from the park the other night..." He began. "Was the same man who was incharge of the incident I told you about before. I would hope I'm wrong about this...but I believe it was the father you call Aizen."

The room was quiet when his sentence came to a close. The only thing heard was the large clock that hung on the wall behind us. The ticking began to sound like it echoed through the room. Ichigo and I both sat still. The difference between us was the fact that his head was hung low. I on the other hand, couldn't help how wide my eyes got. I was in complete disbelief by the words that left the orangettes mouth.

"A-Aizen..?" I muttered softly.

Ichigo only nodded, keeping his eyes averted from mine.

That can't be! Aizen is a good man. He took me in, along with all of people I can now call my siblings! He saved us from the horrible conditions we lived in before....

My thoughts were soon interrupted by gentle shaking. I blinked a few times to look over and see Ichigo shaking my shoulder lightly.

"I know it's hard to believe," He said quietly. "But I find it hard to believe I'm mistaken! The appearance is all to similar. When I see that man I remember everything...there's no way it's not him. You look like you don't believe me Grimmjow."

"That's not it. If you say it's him it probably is. That's just admittedly hard for me to believe ya' know? Aizen is kind to us. All of us. The reason why I have a place to call home and room to sleep soundly in. I don't want to believe that he's capable of...that."

The both of us sighed in sync. I didn't know what to do, and neither did he. To Ichigo this man has done horrible things, but to me he's been so kind. Either way we had to get to the bottom of this.

"We'll figure this all out, alright?" I grabbed Ichigo's hand, rubbing his knuckles gently with my thumb.

Ichigo looked up at me, his dark brown eyes meeting my teal ones.

"Thank you...Grimmjow."
