"Wow. You knew it was me. And that hola was so damn sexy"
"Well, aren't you straightforward"
"Of course. I'm hurt you didn't know that about me"
"Overdramatic. But anywayyyy what 'cha want?"
"A personal pineapple pizza with a side of you."
"Delivered?"
"Yep"
"Okayyyyyy. Adios."
"Sayonara"
"And Crystal?"
"Yeah?"
"You're in for a surprise"
"Wha-"
--dialtone--
"Damn it."

Crystal was restless.
That did not happen often. She became restless only when she wasn't sure of something. And she was always sure.
So that, did not happen often.
She started pacing around her room and started thinking of what the surprise could be.
They didn't have the ingredients for the pizza?
No. That couldn't be a surprise. But if they did not have the ingredients, then she is going to murder someone. Period.
Skye is going to deliver the pizza?
Her heart skipped a beat at that possibility.
Crystal looked at herself in the mirror. A girl with big green eyes and tar black hair stared back at her. Crystal, was no where close to being girly in any way what so ever. She had always been the rebel. Going against the rules and never listening to anyone. She found a thrill in that. Doing things that made her heartbeat audible in her ear. Doing things that made her feel the blood race in her veins. Whenever she did those things, her eyes would sparkle, her friends would say.
But now, the dullness in her eyes couldn't be replaced, even when she looked at the sun right in the eye.
Her mum's death has been the main cause of this. Abandoned by her father at three, her mum raised her all by herself. Crystal's mother was a woman who never gave up. Even when diagnosed with cancer, she kept that cheerful smile on her face. To mask her sadness. To mask all the things she had been through.
Crystal felt a tear roll down her cheek, but wiped it away before it could reach her chin.
She glanced around her room.
After her mum died, her father took her to his home. It was a massive change from what she had been living in since sixteen years. She was used to no electricity, crappy food and chipping paint. Robert's, her father, house was anything but. Electricity 24/7, a pantry so huge that one would get lost without all the symbols guiding and the smell of fresh paint always lingering in the air.
The house screamed anything but home. The walls, the paintings and everything else looked so unfamiliar that she wanted to go back to her crappy apartment.
The bell rings and she was broken out of her reverie. She placed all these memories in the deepest, darkest corner of her mind.
She went down the stairs with her sock cladded feet and opened the door, only to be greeted with no one. She looked around but saw only snow.
Crystal turned to go inside, when her eyes landed on the pizza box lying on the doorstep, with the familiar name of Phowritten on it. She went inside the house, shutting the door softly behind her.
On top of the pizza was a sticky note.
