Crystal first walked in the lovely shop of Pho's when she was merely a fifteen year old teenager who was hungry. Twelve years later, she walks in as the girlfriend of the owner.

Skye had been given Pho's after the lady who was the owner of the shop passed away. Not much has changed since she passed away. The same cherry red booths, the same photos of the The Beatles and the same adoration and love for Crystal.

Today was a big day. But only the staff and Skye knew that. Crystal was clueless.

When she stepped in the familiar shop, Luna immediately took her to the back of the shop where supplies were kept, because she needed help carrying the boxes. As soon as Crystal bent to pick the boxes up, the light went out. She heard Luna curse under her breath.

"What's wrong Luna?"

"Oh nothing sweetie. I'm just going to run and check the generator, yeah?"

"Oh okay. I'm just going to switch my phone's flashlight on"

"NO! You can't do that!"

"Okay?"

"I'm just gonna go"

Crystal was confused why she couldn't switch her phone's flashlight on. But she shrugged it off and proceeded to make her way to the front of the shop, which was a task in itself because first, it was dark. Second, it was a kitchen and third, she was wearing heels. Fricking heels.

When she she bumped into the marble counter she realised, that she was now in the front of the shop. That, is when a beam of light shone on her face, and she was temporarily blinded. When she regained her sight, she saw that there was another beam of light, under which Skye was standing.

Her Skye.

"Hey"

"Hey"

"I, um, expected this to go a lot smoother and I had this entire speech planned out but I don't remember any of it. I put so much of time into it. Goddd I'm such an idiot. I can't remember a fricking speech. This is why I failed so mu-"

"Skye, love, breathe"

"Okay. Okay. We can do this"

"Okay. So like I don't ever, ever regret taking this job. I was forced by mom to take up a job because you know adult shit. But, today honestly, I want to kiss her feet for forcing me. Because God, you're the most amazing woman I've had the honour of meeting and I must have been an amazing human in my past life, not that I am not now, to land a woman like you. You're gorgeous, sarcastic, witty, funny, beautiful, stupid, idiotic and literally one of the most amazing people ever. Thank you for gracing me with your presence and I don't think that I say this enough, but, I honestly, with my entire heart, love you, and I vow to love you my entire life. So will you, Crystal Mary Sinclair, do the honour of spending your life with me, because I want to watch you grow old, see your skin sag and pull your cheeks till the end of time. I swear to pizza, I will make you the most happy woman on this planet.

So will you pretty please marry me?"

Skye stood breathless from his speech, while kneeling on his knee.

"I don't ever regret picking the phone up and calling Pho's and ordering a pizza. You're the most amazing, gorgeous, stupid, funny, dramatic idiot and I love you for who you are. I wouldn't dare change a thing about you because you are literally the best human on this plant. You have done nothing but be the cheese to my pizza, spice to my jalapeños, olive to my oil and the heart to my blood. I love you the most. I love you so fricking much that it hurts. Everytime I see you, my face has a grin so big that my face feels like it's going to split into two. I will love to grow old with you, kiss you till my lips are swollen, and hold your hand till my heart does not function any more. You already make me the happiest woman on this planet and I couldn't ask for more.

It would be an honour to marry you. Yes."

By the end of Crystal's speech both Skye and Crystal had tears in their eyes. And then, Skye slipped the ring on Crystal's finger.

And when they looked at each other, they had realised. Without each other, they wouldn't be,

Crystal Skies.
