Skye was sitting in the park, watching the sunset, when his phone rang.
He saw the caller ID and smiled. It was Crystal.
"Hey"
"Are you okay? Are you hurt? Where are you? Wh-"
"Skye, I'm absolutely fine. Why did you think otherwise?"
"Thank God, and that was because you didn't give me a weird greeting"
"Haha very funny"
"Okay, so look there is something I wanted to tell you"
"Hmm?"
"Wellllllllllllll"
"Crystal?"
"Oh you know what? To hell with it"
And suddenly, Skye was grabbed by the collar and turned around. He was only able to catch a mop of black hair, before a pair of lips crashed on his.
He froze for a few seconds, before recognising the scent, and relaxed.
It was Crystal. Their lips moved in sync, aand he felt tingly all over his body. It felt that he was on fire, and God, was it the best feeling ever.
When both of them needed air, they seperated and Skye leaned his forehead against Crystals'.
"So you just go kissing people at random like that?"
"Oh shut it"
Skye smiled and opened his eyes and gazed in those gorgeous green eyes. And he felt that same tingly feeling again.
Suddenly, Crystal moved away from Skye's grasp and he frowned. Then she kneeled down.
"Whoa whoa whoa, like I like you a lot okay? But I'm just seventeen, I'm not marrying you! I'm not even an adult! Re-"
With a roll of her eyes, Crystal said, "Skye, I'm not proposing to you. Well I am, but not in the marriage kind of way. God, I have to do everything."
"Skye, you idiotic little shit, would you do the honor of being my boyfriend?"
"Why, yes, you imbecile"
"Thank the lord above. It was going to be embarrassing if you had said no," Crystal said getting up. "And plus, my knee was starting to hurt."
"Gee, thanks!" Skye said, while rolling his eyes.
"Anytime," Crystal said with a wink.
And then they both hugged each other, and it felt like all those holes in their hearts had been filled. Like all those days of crying over exes was worth it, and like taking up a job at Pho's was worth it.
Because together they were the sunset and the sunrise, together they were the rain and the clouds, the thunder and the lighting, together they were the entire universe and
together they were like
a sky full of crystals,
full of brightness.
