Dipper stepped back, knowing that this couldn't be good.

"Bill! How are you here?!! What did you do?! I thought you were dead!" He yelled out, alarmed and started to tremble in fear.

What if he decided to take over the world again?

What if he got stronger?

What if he possessed him again?

Stupid Dipper, he just had to open his mouth and mention that their deal was still going.

He just had to shake his hand.

This all was starting to feel like a really bad case of déjà vu.

Instead of cackling and making a showy entrance Bill simply stared at the quivering boy before him, looking confused about what was going on.

"Uh, hey there kid. Are you alright? You don't seem to be at ease." He said while taking in his surroundings. "Wow, this place is really green, these sticks have a bunch of leaves coming out of them."

Dipper fell silent seeing the triangle curiously float around the pine trees like a child exploring the house.

"Uh...Bill? Those are pine trees, you used to call me that before too." He said emotionless, he had no idea what to think about the situation.

"Pine Tree? Huh, is it because your hair is the same color as the base of it? Or because you're as boring as them?" Bill said laughing at his insult.

Dipper frowned and crossed his arms, a little offended. "No, because it was my zodiac. At least I think so, you should know you're the one who though up the nick name!" He stated to the demon irritated.

"I did? Oh...I can't say I remember that kid." He said while floating back down, being at eye level with Dipper.

"Where am I? I don't recall a thing either, you said my name's Bill? That's odd, I can't remember that being my name."

That's when something in Dipper's head clicked.

The memory gun, Bill didn't only get erased but his memories got wiped out as well. Which meant...

He actually didn't know what this meant, could this be a new start?

Maybe he could just leave him to rot and die, after all he did try killing everyone here. He deserves it.

Dipper was lost in his thoughts until Bill spoke once more.

"...could you tell me who I am ki- wait I don't even know who you are. Your name can't be Pine Tree, that's just bizarre." Bill said, Dipper was getting creeped out from how...out of character he seemed.

"My name's Dipper Pines, well it isn't my real name but I am not comfortable with my real name so I'm not telling you it." He said unenthusiastically.

"Dipper...Pines." Bill repeated slowly and looked up at the gloomy night sky, searching for something.

"Hey aren't you named after that constellation? That's funny, heh both your nick names are weird, I can respect that."

"Yeah? Well you're a weird demon, also your name is Bill Cipher." Dipper said to him and yawned, tired.

"I'm going home, see ya Cipher."

He lost interest in the dream demon and turned around, closing his eyes half way, he started walking back home, looking at the ground.

He opened his eyes fully, trying not to fall asleep and came to a stop seeing Bill hovering right by him.

"What the heck man? You are not going back with me. It was nice talking to you and all, but I'm not exactly 'okay' with the guy who tried ruining my life staying with me." He spat out and continued walking home.

Bill stopped for a second, but kept following him.

"...I tried ruining your life? I...I don't remember that."

"I don't remember that." Dipper repeated in a mockin voice. "Well I do! I don't care if you have some type of amnesia but I am not going to be nice to a guy who terrorized me all summer!"

He started walking faster, trying to get Bill to leave him, he was starting to get really upset with the other. Bill stopped following him and a look of sadness was in his eye.

"Look kid, ...I'm sorry. If I truly did anything of what you're telling me, then I apologize for it." Bill began to say, his voice iced with guilt.

Dipper slowed down and turned around seeing the sorrowful triangle, he started to feeling guilt as well.

"From what I've been hearing you say, I'm guessing I was a jerk to you, wasn't I?" He forced a laugh and kept talking. "But, I honestly don't know why. You don't seem like someone I'd want to hurt, but I did that anyways in the past and well I'm sorry Dipper."

Chills went down Dipper's spine hearing him use his name, it felt so foreign and comforting, that was new.

Dipper's anger turned into acceptance and sighed.

"You're being serious aren't you?" He ran his hand through his hair, nervous. "...it's alright I guess, as long as you don't do anything like that again." He said quietly to Bill.

Bill's eye brightened up in joy at his response. "Really you forgive me? Thanks Dipper."

There it was again, his name, being used by Bill. He liked it, but he didn't at the same time.

"Heh...yeah, don't do that. Call me Pine Tree. You using my name is weirding me out."

"Whatever you say Pine Tree."

"So...I'm guessing you still want to go over with me to the shack?" He brought up, his voice cracking in the middle of his sentence and blushed from embarrassment.

"If the offer is up, then sure!" Bill noticed his red face and laughed at the sight. "You're adorable when you blush kid!"

Dipper shoved the triangle softly and forced a laugh.

"Stop it man!"

"But it's true Pine Tree!"

The two kept bantering playfully as Dipper walked back to the Mystery Shack, Dipper becoming more and more comfortable with the other. The more they talked, the more he felt like Bill was his friend.
