/////3 month time skip\\\\\
"Paige, get your ass in here, I want to see what your wearing!" Dee shouted at me.
It was girls night and since it was Dee's turn to pick, we were going out for the night. It was Dee, Mels, Sarah (a friend from the apartment next to me, more on that later) and me.
"Leather? Again?"
"I like leather! What's wrong with leather."
"Nothing. But would it kill to wear a dress and high heels for once?"
"Yes, wearing high heels would probably kill me." Last time I wore high heels I twisted my ankle.
"Whatever. Sarah, Mels, show me now."
Mels and Sarah awkwardly walked into my bedroom. They looked great too.
"Okay can we go now?" Mels begged.
"Yes, just Paige can you get my bag? I left it in the kitchen." Dee asked.
I rolled my eyes again, but went to get it anyway. I had just got it when I heard a two really loud screams sounding like Dee and Mels. If it was just Dee, I would have guessed it was something minor, like a spider or something. But that was Mels too.
And the only time I had ever heard her scream was when something was very wrong or when we went to see Panic! at the Disco a few years ago.
"What the hell is going on? Who died?" I ran into the bedroom to find Mels and Dee staring at my laptop screen and Sarah sitting at the edge of my bed, her eyes wider than saucers.
"B- Br-" she stuttered.
"What?"
Then I heard another voice coming from my laptop. It sounded like Patrick.
"And that would be Dee and Mels, Paige's friends. I think the other girl's name is Sarah."
I couldn't see the screen, so I didn't know why they were acting like that. Dee and Mels have talked to Patrick tons of times and only Dee had ever over reacted. What was so different?
"Dee is usually the crazy one, but I'm guessing seeing you have triggered something in Melanie."
Why was he talking like there was someone else there? Unless...
I jumped onto my bed and grabbed the laptop off the girls.
"Hey Trick- Oh my god..." I finally understood everything. Like I said before, Mels freaked out when we say Panic! at the Disco. And Patrick really wasn't alone. Brendon Urie was with him. Brendon freaking Urie.
"Hi..." I smiled shyly.
"Hey Paige. That's Paige." Brendon nodded.
"Hey Paige."
"Sorry about my friends. Mels doesn't usually freak out like that. You must be pretty special to her- ow!"
Mels punched me in the arm and the other two joined us. Sarah was still quiet. She hadn't met Patrick yet.
"I forgot you were going out, I can call back?" Patrick apologised.
"No!" Mels shouted, "I mean, it can wait..." Brendon laughed.
""How's the new apartment?" Patrick asked. That's right. Last week, I finally gave in and let my dad pay for some of the apartment. I was only renting, and it wasn't the biggest. But it was something. And I liked it.
I had met Sarah when I played Fall Out Boy a bit too loud at 2 in the morning when I couldn't sleep. It was fine though, because she couldn't sleep that night either and she loves Fall Out Boy too. No wonder she was just sitting there, staring at my laptop.
"It's great. It helps that I have great neighbours. Sarah come over and say hi. I told you I was friends with Patrick," Sarah waved shyly.
"That's right, we are besties," Patrick waved back. That's also right. Patrick and I Skype every Saturday, rang each other on Wednesdays and texted every other day. So basically, besties.
"Patrick doesn't shut up about you Paige." Patrick hit Brendon on the shoulder.
"Oh really? Good to know Trick."
"Aw cute you two have nicknames." Brendon sighed happily.
"Actually he hasn't given me a nick name yet...I'm still waiting on that one."
"I'm thinking. There is so many possibilities."
"Okay can you two love birds stop this! Every place in town is going to be shut down by the time you finish talking to each other.
"We are not love birds," Patrick and I shouted.
"Sure..." Dee rolled her eyes.
"Okay fine. Come on, before Dee gets any more annoyed," I rolled my eyes.
"Um...Bye Brendon..." Mels squeaked.
"Bye Mels, it was nice to meet you and your friends Paige."
"And you Brendon," I grinned and then shut off my laptop.
"Let's go!" Dee shouted.
/////later that night\\\\\
Hey Paige. I was wondering if I could have Mels number? Patrick gave me yours.
-Brendon.
"Sarah. Oh my god, Brendon likes Mels." I giggled.
"Seriously? I still can't believe you are friends with Patrick Stump."
"Sarah? Did you not believe me when I told you?"
"Well can you blame me?"
"No, I guess."
I sent Brendon the text. We had to shout everything because there was a karaoke machine and whoever was singing really loudly, and incredibly off key.
Sarah and I were at the bar, Mels was in the bathroom or was, because I could see her come towards us and Dee was off with some guy from work (her and Sam were no longer a thing). So much for girls night.
Mels was slightly more drunk than Sarah and I. Or she must have been because of what she suggested next.
"Hey Paige. You can sing right?"
"Well not in front of people. If you're saying what I think you're saying."
"Aw come on. That guy up there is shit. And you can sing, so come on. Karaoke. Karaoke."
And then she shoved me up onto the small stage after the other guy was done.
"Fine, but I'm singing Fall Out Boy!" I shouted at her over the noise.
"Fine. Look there's Sugar, sing that."
"Fine, I hate you by the way."
"No, you love me."
Am I more than you bargained for yet...
"Keep going!"
And so I did. It was embarrassing, but I did. Some people actually clapped at the end.
"You were so good!" Mels hugged me after we were done.
"Right sure."
"No, that really was good," Sarah shouted.
"Okay, I'll take your word for it."
"We should start a band. You could be our lead singer!" Mels squealed.
"Maybe some other time Mels."
"No, I'm typing this down. So I don't forget. I am not forgetting this."
"Whatever Mels," I sighed.
"And I can play drums and Dee plays guitar doesn't she?"
"I play bass?" Sarah joined in.
"Okay...you guys talk about talk about your imaginary band, I'm getting another drink."
