"So Kol played you, and you still love him to this day?" Kai asked."It's more complicated than that," I explained. I would always defend Kol; it didn't seem right if I didn't. I love him, and that still means something.
"Do tell dear Izzy," he said.
"About a month later when Klaus left New Orleans to attend to a problem, Kol approached me."
FLASHBACK
I was walking down the streets of The French Quarter. It was an escape; it was my alone time. It was the time where I let my thoughts engulf me. I passed an alley when a hand cupped my mouth. I struggled to move away from my captor's arms. I tried to scream for help.
"Darling, it's me, Kol." He said as I turned around to face him. I haven't seen him since he told me that everything was a lie. I did not have time to convince myself that he was lying. I forced myself to believe it so I could finally move on. The quicker, the better.
I slapped him, "do not dare call me that."
His hand rubbed over his cheek. "I need to explain Isadora. Let me explain."
"Why should I believe anything you say? How do I even know you were telling the truth before? Stop toying with my feelings. I am over it." I said.
It was hard to accept that Kol's feelings for me were not real, and the worst part was he used me to get something he wanted. Humans and vampires have something in common; they would do anything for something they wanted badly, even if it results in hurting someone else.
"I was lying before. Klaus forced me to tell you that I tricked you into thinking I was just after Emily's grimoire. I didn't even know she existed until you told me about her." Kol grabbed my hands as he looked me in the eyes.
"Why would you agree to do that?"
"He stabbed you. You were on the brink of death. He agreed to let me feed you my blood if I got rid of you. Klaus told me to tell you those lies, so you would want nothing to do with me or my family. He didn't want some human learning things about us. He didn't want to attract unwanted attention."
