{Adrian's POV}
I was standing alone in the middle of what looked like an old but cozy cafe. I was sitting at a small table all by myself. I was actually the only one in the entire building. Where was everyone? I went up to the waitress no ordered a coffee and sat back down. A few minutes later a young boy brought be my order. But I recognized this boy. His neat dark hair, his wide smile, those lovely hazel eyes. Wait. It was Hayes. What the heck was he doing here. He's supposed to be in bed! Then I saw someone entering the cafe from the corner of my eye. I turned my head and it was my father. He was wearing a nice suit and was holding flowers. Then came in my mother following behind him. And I have never seen her look so gorgeous before. Her gorgeous brown hair was loosely curled and she wore a silky red dress that fitted her perfectly. She had on red lipstick to match and the most stunning necklace I've ever seen. It looked like it was made out of diamonds. My jaw dropped as I watch the two of them choose a table at the other side of the restaurant. They looked at each other their eyes sparkling. She put her hand on the table and then he put placed his hand on hers. He started to rub her hand and she smiled. He handed the flowers to her and she gasped. They were incredible red roses, her favorites. The moved them closer to her face and closed her eyes as she inhaled the scent. She leaned over to father and kissed his cheek. He smiled showing off that perfect smile of his and then he leaned close to her ear.
"I love you with all of my heart," he said in a deep voice. Then he started to brush her hair with his fingers.
Unexpectedly Hayes skipped over to them and they both jumped from their seats with delight. They went around the table and hugged little Hayes. They seemed so thrilled to see him. Like it was their lost son and found him again. Mother started to tear up still hugging him. Father messed his hair and Hayes giggled. This was such a weird and different sight to see. I rarely see my family this happy and this complete. Then my father slowly looked up and saw me. He gave we a worried look and walked over to me. I suddenly got nervous. He was standing there probably a couple inches away from me. I didn't make eye contact but I could feel his warm breathe. I felt like I was in trouble. It was awkward since he wasn't saying anything.
"Adrian what's wrong with you? Why are you over here all by yourself?" he suddenly asked. I quickly looked up at him and he was frowning at me.
"Tell me, how deep have we hurt you?" he asked with complete seriousness. Then tears just started to roll down my cheeks. I tried to hold up my tears. I was speechless.
"Adrian? Aren't you going to answer me? Adrian? Adrian? Adrian!?"

Suddenly I was woken up by the sound of my father shouting my name.
"Adrian wake up sleepyhead!" he was shoving me trying to get me out of bed. I sat up and I just looked at him for the longest time. He had a look of confusion all over his face.
"I-I feel completely alone," I told him my eyesight starting to blur because of the tears welling up inside. His reaction was bewildered. Then I quickly left the room and went straight to the bathroom and cried and cried and cried.

I was sitting in the bathroom for about an hour now, just drowning my thoughts of father and mother and Hayes. That's all I could think of. They seem to be taking over my life. Why can't I just act like a normal teenage girl? Why can't I have fun, and create unforgettable memories? But I can't. I can't because I am cursed with such an awful fate. I hate to say it but I do. What did I ever do to you God? Please tell me why I deserve this. I have always loved you. Why can't you love me back?

It was Sunday morning and I had no plans for today. I decided to go for a walk since the weather was pretty nice outside. I checked the weather on my phone really quick and it showed that it was supposed to rain in the afternoon. I went ahead and got myself dressed, ate breakfast, and went out the back door. The air felt nice and warm. The sun shone so bright and the smell of fresh cut grass filled the air. Should I have Hayes tag along with me? Nah I'll only be gone for about 20 minutes.
I started by passing the donut shop. Then our bank. And the local grocery store. Right outside the doors of the grocery store, had a sign that read: Iris's on sale for only $5
