Knowing you're dreaming but being unable to wake yourself up is one of the worst feelings. One of the only feelings that worse was being able to recognize that you're dreaming, and having a downright terrifying nightmare (that is more than likely actually happening or a look into the future because you're a demigod and that's just your luck) and being unable to wake up from that. That's what I was currently experiencing.
My dream started as images that I prayed were just figments of my imagination; Michaels corpse, Leo's corpse, camp being caught on fire (I may have hated being there but I didn't wish for it to be caught on fire), and so on. My heart was pounding but I remained asleep.
The images changed but the new ones were equally as terrifying. Monsters roamed freely and spirits were everywhere I looked. Screams could be heard in the distance. And then there were voices whispering all around me.
"She has arrived," one voice said.
"Tis to early for her to be here," another voice muttered.
"Her presence is not welcomed," the voices started to blur together.
"She is in grave danger." I opened my mouth to speak but before I could say anything, the scene before me changed.
I was now in what I assumed had to be the throne room in Olympus. It fit every description I had ever heard. My feet led me to the center of the room. I could not control my own body. A low voice started speaking.
"Where do you belong," it asked. "Are you a child of Ares?" A violent image of a battle flashed before me. "Or perhaps you are a child of Hades," I was suddenly it was appeared to be the underworld. Ghosts floated around. Screams could be heard. "Or is your father Zeus, God of the sky's?" I was back in the throne room. "Listen to your heart. It the hardest of situations it is your heart that will lead you to the right path. Walk to your fathers throne." Without a second thought my feet started moving. My eyes were glued to the ground though. I could not force my head up. Just as I stopped in front of one of the thrones and just as my head started to slowly rise, I woke up drenched in sweat.
