Damon's POV
Sam stormed out of the kitchen. He did not look impressed. He looked annoyed and angry- but then again, when was he not angry and annoyed.
I don't know what Sam's problem was with everyone? Maybe he was hurting and, anger and frustration were the easier ways to deal with pain? I didn't know.
Soon after, Isabel walked out of the kitchen too. She looked like she was thinking hard about something.
"Are you okay?" I asked her.
Her wandering blue eyes stopped and focused on me.
"Yeah" she lied.
I clenched my jaw. Sam said something to Isabel that seemed to take a huge toll on her. I could tell her mind was twisting and turning with some stupid simple words he said.
"What did he say?"
She shook her head and shot me a forced smile, "nothing, it's fine"
She was lying again.
"I'm not going to let this go" I crossed my arms.
"Damon please!" She begged, "can we just forget it?"
"Did he hurt you?" I wondered, "because I'm definitely not going to let that go"
"No Damon, he didn't hurt me" she was telling the truth this time.
"What did he do?" I asked again.
"Can we talk about this later" she urged, "We need to stay focused on saving our parents right now"
I nodded in agreement. She was right; saving our parents should be the only thing stressing us out right now. But I wasn't going to let this go.

It was near 9:56 and the jail car would be rolling by the gas station any minute.
"Okay" Liam turned around from the drivers seat, "So I wait on the other side of the road and wait for the signal?"
"You know what to do from there?" Sam asked.
"Oh yeah"
Liam got out of the car and rushed to the other side of the road.
"So then me, Damon and Racin go out and cause the distraction" Sam stated, "Carlos, Carlee, Adyson, and Jasmine go on lookout duty"
"Wait- what am I supposed to do?" Cameron wondered, "You're crazy if you think I'm going sit here and wait for you to bring back my parents and my girl-" he stopped himself.
We all knew he was talking about Rylee. Cameron was different with her. I had never seen him like this with another girl. The moment I saw him fawning over her, I knew this time would be different. With every desperate gaze, every smile he shot her, every cheesy pick up line and every moment they spent together, meant the world to Cameron.
"I mean- Rose!" He nervously corrected himself.
"Cameron, last time you got involved in this, you were shot" Sam explained, "and you can protest all you want but someone has to stay here with Brinley"
Cameron looked at Brinley, who was sound asleep in her booster seat. We couldn't just leave her here alone, what if something bad happened?
Cameron sighed in defeat, "Fine- I'll wait behind"
"Why do I have to stay behind?" Isabel asked, "You guys told me I was on lookout!"
