Olivia's POV
Matt and I laid in bed together and talked about the baby.
"How many weeks did they say you were- you know?" Matt gestured towards my stomach.
"About 4 weeks" I admitted.
I had been feeling sick the past month, I just pushed it off as a common cold or flu. But I didn't think I was actually pregnant.
"Oh my god!" he exclaimed, "how are we only finding out about this now"
"Because I wasn't thinking very much about my health when all this was happening"
Matt held my hand. Our fingers intertwined with each other. Then he kissed our intertwined hands.
"Did they tell you what gender it is?" He wondered.
"No- it's not big enough yet" I said.
A smile grew on his face and soon his smile turned into a grin.
"What is it?" I giggled.
"We're going to be parents" he stated, "Isn't that crazy?"
I was so happy to see that Matt was as excited to be a parent as I was. I imagined coming home from a long day of work, Matt and our baby waiting there for me. After our supper we would all cuddle up for family movie night. Of course we would watch a dumb kid movie, but we wouldn't care, we would enjoy it just as much as him or her.
"I can't wait until we can have cute little family moments like these with our little kid" I sighed.
"Imagine all the things he could grow up to be"
I looked at Matt, "Did you say he?"
"I guess I've always wanted a son" he admitted.
"I don't know" I shook my head.
I was hoping for it to be girl. A little girl that was obsessed with dresses and makeup. She would grow up to be successful and make a lot of money. She would be gorgeous. Her hair would be the same as my curly, long hair but it would be the same dusty blonde colour as Matt's. She would have Matt's lips, my nose and my fleeked eyebrows. Her eyes would be the same hazel as Matt's were. To top it all off, her cheeks would be dashed with little freckles like mine. And her name, would be Rachel Lee Espinosa.
But if the baby was to be a boy, I saw him as a my little jock. He would love to play sports, and he would be good at them too. He would get a scholarship to the one of the best schools in all of the country. He would be tall and handsome. He would have Matt's boring, straight, "quiff" hair but it would be dark like mine.
"I see a little girl" I told him, "Rachel Lee"
"I'm putting my bets on a boy"
"Okay, we'll see about that"
Whatever gender the baby was, I would love her or him all the same.
"What would you name the baby?" Matt wondered.
"If he was a boy," I thought for a moment, "Abel Alexander Espinosa"
"Abel?" He looked at me funny.
"Yes- Abel"
"I like that name" he smiled.
