Damon's POV

My parents left to go to uncle Liam's, so I was in charge of Brinley and Cameron. Because it was so late, Brinley was already asleep, so I had to listen to Cameron go on-and-on about Rylee.

Him and Rylee were cute together. I wish Isabel and I could be something more. But there was this incredibly annoying complication when it came to us- Sam. Sam and Isabel were really close friends when they were younger, maybe now they were even closer. As much as I really liked Isabel, I wanted her to be happy and if Sam made her happier than I did, I wasn't going to hold her back. She deserved happiness.

I had already told Isabel my feelings for her. I asked her if she wanted to be more than friends. I put myself out there, which was extremely rare in my case, and she didn't even respond to me.

"I think she likes me" Cameron merrily sighed.

"Good for you" I scoffed.

"What's your problem?" He asked.

"Nothing" I lied.

"Is it Isabel?"

I narrowed my eyes towards him.

He smirked, "Call it twin telepathy"

"That's not real"

"So you're not thinking about Isabel right now?" He crossed his arms.

"Why do you care?"

"Sassy much?" He chuckled.

I glared at him.

"But actually" he was serious, "I think you and Isabel would be good together"

"I asked Isabel tonight. I told her I wanted to get to know her as more than a friend but I never got a response out of her" I admitted, "I think it's because of Sam. They're really close"

Cameron looked at me funny, "are they actually dating?"

"No- I don't think so"

Cameron slapped me on the head, "Then why are we you being such a pussy?"

"What?" I questioned.

"Clear things up with her!"

"I already-"

"I know you already asked her out- but just clear things up, see how she feels" He explained.

"But what if-"

"Whatever happens, happens. You'll never know unless you try"  he explained.

What Cameron said was right. Even if Isabel didn't like me, at least I would know I tried. I mean, I already kissed her. And maybe she did like me and we could be something more.

"What about you and Rylee?" I asked, "are you guys dating?"

"Well- not exactly" he admitted, "we still have to talk about that"

"If you talk to Rylee, I will talk to Isabel" I suggested.

"Okay" Cameron got out of bed.

I looked in the other bed, where Brinley was sound asleep. We couldn't just leave her.

"But what about Brinley? Mom said we had to watch her"

"Yeah you're right" Cameron said, "We'll go one at a time"

"And flip a coin to see who goes first" I added.

Cameron pulled out a brand new, shiny, silver nickel. He flipped it up and it landed on the back of his arm. He covered it with his hand.
