Tendency One: Lies

Truth was said to be refreshing, to feel a weight lifted off one's chest. This does not happen when a sociopath tells the truth. It weighs us down and makes it so we cannot breath. Lies to people like us, are a superpower. We can lie so well that we would have you believing that Superman is dying of heart attack. Your mind tells you Superman isn't real, and even if he was he would never die of such a mundane thing! That's the thing about us sociopaths we tend to lead you down a road blindfolded, dumb, and following your heart.

My first lie was, "I love you." This will be covered in a later chapter. It is impossible for us to love. Well, impossible is a large word, remember we can have you believing superman is dying of a heart attack. Impossible is just not in our vocab list for any week.

My name? For this purpose let's call me X. It seems fit don't you think? X can mean anything, any number, any word, anything. I can be anything.

To get ahold of the reasons behind our lying, here is a story.

Once upon a time, in a far away kingdom lived two people, they were perfectly normal in the sense that one could only tell the truth for the rest of his life, and the other could only tell lies. In the small village they lived in (They are neither boy nor girl for those of you that care about that sort of thing) it was a wide known fact that one of the boys/girls/whatever could only lie and the other could only tell the truth.

Truth's first words were, "This world is sad, and the people are too." And he/she/it was known forever as the lying child.

Lie's first words were, "What a magical town, with magical people! Oh what a sight, what a thing to behold. You are here for me and I thank you so! I will weep when you leave." And he/she/it/Hannah Montana was forever known as the truth telling child.

The moral of the story? Lie's are easier to believe than the truth. I mean there is more. But I am sure YOU don't want to waste your time. You have what you came for. You wanted to know why we lie. And that is why. You accept us, you let us in your hearts, and you call us the truth tellers. It's hard not to continue lying after that. And for those of you who actually DO want to finish here you are.

When they were on their seventh summer, Lie was out with the village boys, and Truth sat alone under a tree. Truth was ugly, Lie was beautiful. Lie screamed to the village amongst his fun deceiving the village boys, "You will live forever!" And the village boys never lived to see the next day. They were hung up by their feet and their necks were sliced. they were found hanging in the tree where Truth was always sitting. Truth was hung the next day. Truth's last words were. "I do not lie."

Years later when Lie was on it's/her/his death bed, he coughed and choked until someone came to him, for they all loved Lie. He was beautiful even in death. And it's/Trump's/her/his last words were...

Can you guess what it said? No? Then as Lie has always said, you really are a rocket scientist!

"I do not lie."

Second moral of the story, you will get hung if you tell the truth. Congrats. You will also not be surprised I pulled that story out of my ass. But is has a lot of Truth in it. Get it?
