Killian's pov
Today, we were finally allowed to leave the hospital, and go home. The vacation was long over, the kids had to go back to school and Emma and I back to work.
I felt so stupid. With only one hand I could barely do anything. I couldn't get dressed on my own, I couldn't hold the suitcases and so much more. All these things that you do without thinking about it.
Of course, everyone was more than willing to help me, but I didn't want to depend on them. I still wanted to be able to do things.
Of course I got a prosthetic, but I could barely do anything with it. It wasn't that stong. This one was just a piece of plastic, I would get some sort of robotic hand later, but that required more work to make. It needed to be my size exactly.
As soon as we got out of the hospital we went to the airport, as our plane was leaving soon.
Milah came to say goodbye, since we weren't going to see her for a long time.
"You should visit us one day" Emma told Milah. I was so glad that they could get along in real life.
"Yeah, already looking forward to it." Milah answered as she gave Emma a hug, which Emma gladly returned.
I gave her a hug aswell, and before we knew it, it was time to board.
I am not going to lie, we were all terrified. Terrified that something like this would happen again.
Maria had to be carried inside, but she was still struggling and crying her heart out.
"I don't want to!! I am scared!!" she cried.
"I know, honey, we all are, but we have to go home." Emma said, as calm as possible, trying to hide the fact that she was shaking herself.
I placed my good hand on her shoulder in a comforting way, and she smiled at me.
"Lets go home!" she smiled.
Nothing happened during the flight back, except for that Maria was crying the whole time, ecpecially during the turbulence.
I have to say, even I was scared when the plane started shaking...
But we arrived, safe and sound, ready to pick up our lives again.
