Emma's pov

"Vacation!! Vacation!! Vacation!!" Maria had been running around the house for about half an hour just yelling that. After we told them that we would go to Italy she compleetly freaked out. But that was three weeks ago. She was still freaking out. Today was the day that we would leave.

I had finished packing my bags and Maria's, since she probably wouldn't do that herself. Killian was done aswell, but Henry was still sitting at the dinner table playing minecraft.

"Henry, have you packed your bags already?" I asked, while trying to calm Maria down.

No response.

"Henry!" I yelled.

"What?" He asked casually, not looking away from the screen.

"That's it!" I mumbled to myself as I walked torwards him and grabbed his phone.

"Mom, what the hell?!" he yelled, while trying to get it back.

"Dont talk to me like that!" I yelled back. I walked torwards the little vault in the closet and put his phone in there.

"Mom, seriously!?" He whined.

"Go pack your bags! We have to leave in half an hour! Please act responsible for once in your life!"

He gave me a glare and walked out of the room.

"Vacation!! Vacation!!! Vaca.."

"Honey please calm down.." I said, cutting her off. She stopped running around for a second and looked at me with teary eyes. I knew that she was just playing tricks on me. She had done it before. 'These tears aren't real... 'I tried to tell myself, but it was damn hard to ignore them.

I just walked away to find Killian.

Turns out he was helping Henry with his bags.

I walked into Henry's room.

"Henry, I am sorry for yelling at you, but this is serious. You need to stop using your phone so much. It's like you're not even there when I talk to you."

No response.

Killian looked at me with a sweet smile and walked torwards me. He pulled me into a hug which I gladly returned.

"Am I a bad mother?" I whispered so that Henry wouldn't hear me.

He pulled away from the hug with a shocked look on his face. He dragged me around the corner, so that we would be out of Henry's sight.

"No.. I know what a bad mother is and You're no bad mother. Believe me. You're the best mother in the whole damn world." I smiled at him. How does he do this?! Always making me smile...

He pushed me against the wall and kissed me. I kissed back for a second, till I realised that Henry was on the other side of this wall, and had probably heard that. I pulled away.

"Ughum,... Kids around" I said akwardly.

That was when Henry walked out of the room and saw us.

His face looked disgusted.

"Iew, mom, dad.. Get a room." He said. After that he walked away.

"I guess we must get going, or we might miss our flight" Killian smirked.

He gave me one last kiss. After that he walked into the livingroom to start with the impossible battle of getting Maria's jacket on.

"Ladies and gentlemen, the Captain has turned on the Fasten Seat Belt sign. If you haven't already done so, please stow your carry-on luggage underneath the seat in front of you or in an overhead bin. Please take your seat and fasten your seat belt. And also make sure your seat back and folding trays are in their full upright position."

"Mommy! I want to sit next to the window!" Maria whined.
"Well, you cant, cause you have to sit down now, and that would take to much time."

If you are seated next to an emergency exit, please read carefully the special instructions card located by your seat. If you do not wish to perform the functions described in the event of an emergency, please ask a flight attendant to reseat you."

I looked around to see where the emergency exit was, and it was not anywhere near us. It was on the other side of the plane, a little to the front.

"We remind you that this is a non-smoking flight. Smoking is prohibited on the entire aircraft, including the lavatories. Tampering with, disabling or destroying the lavatory smoke detectors is prohibited by law.

If you have any questions about our flight today, please don't hesitate to ask one of our flight attendants. Thank you."

I finally sat down and sank deep into my chair.

"Tired, love?" Killian asked.

"You don't know the half of it" I laughed a little while resting my head on his shoulder and closing my eyes for a second.

Finally, rest! Well... Till Maria started weinig again.

"Mommy, Henry is mean!"

Ugh, being a mother is hard.

After fixing the argument I finally got some sleep.

Everything seemed perfect, no whining, no yelling.

Till it happened.
