Ezra's POV

I wake up with Kaci laying on top of me. My nose buried in her silken hair, her nose in the crook of my neck and my shoulder. I pulled her in close, breathing in the sweet aroma of her dark, almost black, hair.

Kaci woke up and I ran my over the scar on her shoulder, and she watched the movement. "I remember this one. This one is from where you got shot, that time we saved Jai and that other family."

She put her hand on the back of my shoulder. "You've got the one to match. I wasn't there, but I got back and you were sitting in the cargo hold and Kanan was keeping you from touching it. I calmed you down."

Then, she pulled back the blanket, I had draped over us late last night. She put her hand on my chest. "And this one. I was there. I had only known you for a short while. The Inquisitor stabbed you. Everyone thought you weren't going to make it. This one scared me."

I reached for her eye and she flinched. I smiled and ran my index and middle fingers around the orange circle. She closed her eyes and laid her head down on my chest.

We were quiet for a long time, until I spoke up, "Just so you know, I am not naming my daughter Fancy."

She looked at me grinning. "Actually, that name was my favorite."

I placed my forehead and my nose on her's. "Oh, no."

I made a secret mission to myself, to protect Kaci from all danger and keep this our little secret.

3rd Person POV

Jaku woke up and opened the ramp to sit down. When he did a small Loth Cat, missing half of his ear sat next to him. When, Jaku wouldn't pet him, he would rub his head on Jaku's hand.

After a half hour Jaku picked him up and carried him to his cabin. Hiding him on the bunk. He sat around watching the Loth Cat fall right asleep on the bunk.

There was a knock at the door, and he jumped up draped a blanket over the animal and answered the door. It was Ezra and Kaci. Ezra spoke first. "We have a mi-"

He was interupted by what sounded like a cat. Kaci became the spokesperson, "What was that?"

Jaku became nervous. "What was what?"

Ezra looked at him and raised his eyebrows. "Jaku Starfall, don't lie to me. I know when you're lying."

The cat jumped up quickly at the sound of Ezra's voice. He jumped out in the open. Ezra was shocked and mumbled under his breath, "Ephraim."

Kaci's POV

I watched as Ephraim, Ezra's old Loth Cat, jumped out in the open. Responding to Ezra's low mumble of his name he jumped in his arms. Jaku responded to the action. "Hey, he's mine. I found him."

Ezra snapped his attention to the teenager. "I got this cat a long time ago. His name is Ephraim. After my father. Kanan gave him to m-"

Ezra stopped and turned to me. "I'll be right back."

Ezra's POV

I walked to the Ghost. Kanan was in the cargo hold. I walked up to him, Ephraim still in my arms. Kanan turned to me. "I bet you're here to see Hera."

"No actually, I'm here to see you." I put Ephraim on the ground. "Look who Jaku found."

Kanan bent down and Ephraim trotted over to him. "Huh, never thought I'd see him again."

"Kanan?"

"Yes?"

"I'm sorry."

He stood up and walked towards me. "I'm sorry, too."

He threw his arms around me and I did the same to him. The father, son duo is back.
