Unexpected love

Studying and bad news

"Yaayyyy it's saturdayyyyyy."
I sang to myself.

I looked at my clock. It read 10:32. I got out of bed and headed downstairs for breakfast. I got some cereal from the cupboard and a bowl. I saw my mom sitting at our table just staring at her breakfast.

"Mom you need to eat something."
I said.

I'm still mad at her for what she's been doing. But she needs to eat. She hasn't eaten anything in 2 days. She looked pale and tired.

She didn't say anything. She just sat there emotionless.

"Mom? Please eat something. At least talk to me." I said. Tearing up. I walked over there. I sat down next to her. By now she was crying.

"I-I j-just m-miss your f-father s-so much."
She replied between sobs.

"Me too mom. It's ok I forgive you."
I said realizing I was crying now too. My mom and I hugged.

"Ugh I didn't even realize how hungry I was." She said laughing. Then she started eating rapidly. I laughed and started eating. When I finished I put my bowl in the sink and headed upstairs. When I got to my room I took out my phone. I sat there replying to all my texts.

From BAE<3: Morning babe.

To BAE<3: Morning Bae<3.

From Cam:): Heyyyyyy

To Cam:): Heyyyyyyy:)

From Cam:): Wanna come over to study?

To Cam:): Sure what time?

From Cam:): Does 2:00 sound good?

To Cam:): Sure see you then:)

From Cam:): Kk.:)

I put my phone down and went to get dressed. I put on a black skater skirt and some random band tank top on. I went to the bathroom and started to brush my teeth. I felt like looking kind of girly today so I curled my hair and put on my makeup.

I looked at my phone and it said 12:47. I was bored so I texted Cam.

To Cam:): Can I come over now? I'm bored :p

From Cam:): Sure. I'll order a pizza.

To Cam:): Sounds good. See you in a bit:).

I put my phone down and went down stairs. I grabbed my brown sandals and said goodbye to my mom. When I got to Cams house I knocked on his door.
He opened it quickly and smiled.

"Hey you look great."
He said.

I blushed and looked down, my feet suddenly becoming interesting. I looked up at him.

"Wanna come in?"
He laughed.

I nodded and laughed.
When I walked in side I looked around.

"Nice house."
I said.

He smiled and thanked me.
The doorbell rang he opened it. There stood a man holding a pizza. He smiled, payed him and grabbed it from him. We sat down at his table and started eating. I got a text.

From BAE<3: Hey babe we need to talk.....

To BAE<3: Sure. What's up?

From BAE<3: I'm staying in Montana.

I couldn't believe what I just read. My smiled faded and tears welled up in my eyes. One fell down my face and Cameron wiped it from my face.

"What's wrong?"
He asked sounding sympathetic.

"Brent is staying in Montana."
I said now crying.

He hugged me tight as I sobbed into his shoulder.

"So are you guys going to make the long distance thing work?"
He asked.

"Honestly. I'm not even going to try. Those things never work out."
I said.

I pulled out my phone and texted Brent.

To EX: I'm sorry but I can't be with you if that's what your doing. I love you but it won't work out.

From EX: I understand. I'll never forget you.

I didn't reply. I looked at Cameron and said.

"Yeah we're through."
I said. Experiencing mixed feelings.

Cameron hugged me again. When he pulled away he stared at me. Then he did something that really surprised me. He kissed me. Then I did something even more surprising.

I kissed back.
