The clear, refined
Notes reverberated inside her.
Her hands moved
Gracefully, even though
Her heart pounded
And she only wanted to
Curl up and cry.
On, she went,
The sweet sounds
Encasing her and
Protecting her
From their poisonous words.
She thought she began to feel stronger,
And allowed the music,
The pure, calm music,
The xylophone created,
To whisk her away.
But she never came back.
