Chapter Sixteen: Theo's Point of View.

It's been 4 days since I made that bet with Jack and today is the day. I need her to tell me she loves me. If she doesn't then it's all over I will have to move and marry a stranger.

"So what are you planning?" Jack asked. Him and Kim were very close they spent every waking second together. However when I think about it so did me and Evie. We go to classes together, we eat together. I feel as though we were destined to be together.

"I'm just going to tell her how I feel.."

"And if she doesn't say it back?"

"We. Leave" I could hardly get my words out. The thought of leaving Evie could kill me, compleatly.

Just as Jack was about to reply my phone buzzed.

"I need to speak to you.. I'm so sorry I didn't know" It was Evie. She sounded panicked and lost for words.

"What are you talking about?" I asked.

"Just don't leave your room I'm coming to see you" She hung up.

"Is she ok?" Jack asked.

"Um I don't know really.. don't you have classes?"

"Yes I do, bye" He quickly left the room.

Waiting for Evie didn't take long she came within a few minutes.

"Hey are you ok?" I asked. She swung the door closed and locked it. Her breath was trying to keep up and she looked scared.

"No I didn't know they would publish it" She handed me a magazine. On the front page it read:

Looking under the story was a picture of me and a edited crown. They knew they all knew I am the prince. What is worse.. She knew.

"You knew this hole time?" I asked hoping it was a lie.

"Yes I'm sorry I thought you wanted it to be a secret. Please I never knew these pictures would get out"

"Are you joking what have I been a game to you. Someone to jump through your career plan?"

I knew it was harsh as soon as I said it but she lied. All this time I've been making these crazy lies up. Telling her secrets about my life sharing family secrets and this hole time she knew. I feel betraid.

"NO I would never do that. Look I never expected them to publish my picture. When I handed them in I never thought she would do this. I promise you"

She was trying to make me believe her but I just can't. Everything she is saying is just lies now.

"I love you Theo" I can see tears in the brin of her blue eyes. I wanted to hear those words for so long and now there here. I feel sicked by everything what will my family think. What will the public think.

"I need to leave now. I need to go back to the palace. I can't stay here anymore not now everyone knows"

Her hands were on my tensed arms trying to calm me. Everything was a lie she has broken me.

"PLEASE-" She was interuped by my phone.

"Hello"

"Honey it's your father he has passed away"

"What"

"You need to come home and be with your family"

She hung up.

"I need to leave" Everything seems to be smaking me in the face.

I can start to feel the blood draning from my body. My mouth is dry and everything seems ro be a blur.

"Theo are you ok?" I could slightly hear a voice.

"My father is dead. I need to go become King"
