What is love?

What is it about this odd emotion that confuses even the most brilliant and intellectual of human beings. Of course we have all seen it. Whether it be from our family members, or from our friends, we've all been able to catch a glimpse of this 'Love'. Its powers are mesmerizing, enough to bring anyone out of their darkness. While doing so, overflowing them with irresistible sensations even with just a light brush of its being. And when finally able to see the light, now they are trapped within a state of ecstasy.

However, such happiness doesn't come without drawbacks. To achieve such a level of joy, one must first know sorrow. With sorrow comes grief, but before there shall be anger. The cause of anger would be denial. To end the cycle however, comes acceptance. It is because of this acceptance of who we are, what we want, and who have what we want, that we are all able to be given love and know what it is. For Azin however, life had different plans and gave him a route unlike this one in order for him to be able to know love.

Instead of being enraged due to the lack of interest, the teenage boy decided to be humble. Due to this he embraced the sorrow of his love life. From since he was young, Azin was nothing but a good child. Of course with a few flaws here and there, but still pure. He studied, he read books, did homework, was smart, nice, kind, and always wore a smile upon his face no matter what.

During his last years before junior school he had a friend whom he could've even considered his best-friend at the time. They spent all six years together in primary school, sitting in the same class, and sometimes no more than a few desks apart. She was pretty, smart, kind, nice, and honest. All of the qualities he would want in a girlfriend she had. It seemed that Azin lacked the qualities of what a boyfriend would have for her however. This brought an end to his daily smile.

He was crushed, not sure how to take the rejection and never knew whether her mother really didn't want her to date or not. To what the male knew, her parents liked him and wouldn't mind the two being a couple. But he never asked them directly and always trusted her reasons and of course still remained her friend. As the years past and they both graduated, separate ways the two went.

Now in Junior School, and rejection behind him, Azin comes in encounter with yet another beauty. Her features different from the girl he once had a crush on, but not by much. They both had a petite frame, perfect skin which shined in the sun perfectly, and eyes that would swallowed up anyone who dared to look into them. Instead of olive brown skin, kinky brown hair which stopped at the neck, and fierce mahogany eyes, he had something else.

Before he knew it, his fingertips started to crave brushing along her pale skin and his hands wanted to venture closer to her waist during the friendly hugs. His nostrils memorized the smell of the shampoo she used. Attentively he watched during class, not missing a moment when his crush used to braid her straight black hair which stopped just above her hips. And when he got caught staring, Azin never admitted to them but told white lies to make his obsession of her non-existent or not seem to be a stalker.

Daily prayers the boy made, asking God to bless him with her heart. Sometimes he felt like they were heard because at times she waved at him in the halls and hugged him. But his humbleness and innocence is the reason why he lost her heart, to his best-friend at the time. And once more he fell into sorrow. And like the last one to gain the interest of his heart, they went separate ways.

This time around however, he felt regret instead of just sorrow. He truly had feelings for her and knew it was nothing like the last. This time around his wants to have a lover were deeper, more mature. Of course this meant it wasn't as innocent as the last. But instead of seeing her naked body, allowing his eyes to fully admire her developed developing curves like they did due to a swimsuit malfunction on a class trip, all Azin wanted from her were for his lips to meet hers.

Because to him, a deep kiss meant that his feelings were just more than lust. Even if it was one she gave his best-friend right after eating spaghetti. His bestfriend was grossed out, but faked it. Despite the fact she had loose particles stuck in her braces, Azin wouldn't mind a kiss from her even at that very moment in time. No longer were books, school work, homework, or A+'s the love of his life. Instead, they were girls.

And soon he found himself interested in yet another, this one being several hundred miles away from him but none the less closer to him than any of the ones near him. Azin found what he though to be love, online.

She wasn't perfect, not in the slightest when compared to the last two. Instead, she was a simple girl with troubles. It was the simplicity mixed with the tragedy which allured him. A smoker, drug abuser, average, but with experience. This new world was nothing like the one he was used to. But through it all he stuck with her and soon made their feelings official. Once more in another environment, not only school wise, Azin opened up his heart once more and wasn't disappointed. Being miles apart doesn't mean stimulation can't occur. The two spent hours on their screens talking to each other.

Whether it be through text, voice notes, or face-timings, the two always had good communication. But this relationship came to an end sooner than expected. He had what he wanted, but before talking to her one night he had another girl upon his lap. Her hips swayed to a rhythmic tune while he just sat there unsure of what to do. It was his first after all, a lap dance that is and it wasn't anything erotic in the slightest. The dancer had the rhythm but lacked the substance. No one likes to sleep on a hard pillow, not even masculine pelvises.

He promised not to cheat anymore. Little did Azin know that while he was living life as a normal teenager the girl who he fell for had a child along with other men giving her the physical of all the mental images he gave her. And once more, the male embarked on a separate path after her breaking up with him but never telling the real truth behind it.

He was empty. Nothing was in his heart as he now loved with his brain once again. The male returned to his studies and left to go to another school once more, with hopes of gaining a better future not only academically but also sports wise. After he took the exams he waited for the first day of school. Azin was prepared, all ready to go. Even though the school itself was nothing to look forward to, being in a bad condition and obviously still under-construction. The only excitement for this change was not be upon his face, but that of his mother while she escorted him into the gates. A kiss he bestowed upon her fluffy cheeks and waves her off.

Only to be called back once more. Unsure why and slightly irritated, he reluctantly turned around and looks at her. His eyes found something else, a petite frame standing by her side. Upon closer inspection the male realized that the figure's a girl. With no signs of interest he walked on over. Little did Azin know at that moment that this girl is nothing like the others, not only in personality, traits, and qualities, but the effect she'll have upon his heart. And overall, the fact that no matter what happens they would never go their separate ways. Why?

Because, They're Halfies.
