Chapter 1: Money Problems

In the streets of Magnolia, Lucy Heartifilia had just arrived in her apartment after finishing a

mission. Her team had beat up a bunch of gangs for the past few weeks, but once again Natsu,

Happy, Gray, and Erza had destroyed parts of the town. Unfortunately, they had to use the money

they earned to pay the damages, which left Lucy with no money for her rent.

I guess I could go on this mission, but I would definitely have to go alone. Who knows what chaos

the others will do if they come with me. This mission seems pretty easy anyways, so it shouldn’t be a

problem. I hope.

“Well I better get to bed,” she said out loud to herself.

On the next day, she informed Mirajane that she would be going on a mission. The guild was very

lively as usually. It was just normal for all the Fairy Tail wizards. Mira confirmed the mission, but

looked slightly worried as she handed Lucy back the paper.

“Lucy you’re going alone?” That’s rare of you,” Mira said looking concerned.

“I’ll be fine Mira, so don’t worry,” she said giving her a reassuring smile.

“Lucy why don’t you want us to come?” questioned the pink haired boy.Beside him sat Happy, Erza,

and Gray. Lucy noticed that Natsu looked somewhat disappointed. But there was also a tint of

worry.

“Natsu, if she wants to go on a mission alone, she can,” responded the ice wizard.

“Gray’s right you know. It’s only this once. When I get back, Fairy Tail’s strongest team will go on

another mission together. So just wait until I come back.”

“Alright. Well good luck!” he shouted as she went outside the door.

“Thanks, but don’t forget luck is usually on my side.”

She wasn’t called Lucky Lucy for nothing.
