Mira urged Loke to continue what he was about to say.
“Well it’s about her birthday,” Loke finally said. “I’ve been wanting to make her birthday something special this year.”
“Aww, Loke, that’s so sweet!” Mira said while smiling with glee. “So do you want us to keep her distracted so we can set up a party at the guild?”
“Exactly! But, there’s one more thing I want to do for Lucy. I want to take her to the spirit world sometime during the party.”
“Loke, that sounds like something Lucy would love.”
“I’m glad you think so. The thing is, she will only be in the spirit world for an hour.”
“Why only an hour?”
“There’s a time difference between our worlds. If Lucy were to spend an entire day in my world, three months would pass in this world. But if Lucy only stays for an hour, that would mean only five days would pass. It’s still means she will be away for a few days, but it’s better than three months.”
“Oh I see. So you wanted to inform the master that she wouldn’t be here for a few days. That way, no one would worry if they wondered why Lucy was gone.”
“That pretty much sums it up,” he said.
“Well, I’m sure Natsu and the others can keep her busy until the party.”
“Let’s hope so. This is going to be a busy week.”
The next day...
Lucy walked right into the guild, but she could tell that everyone was acting suspicious.
Right when she walked in, she noticed that the other members glanced up at her, but they quickly returned back to what they were doing before she came in.
Okay…That was strange. Maybe I’m just over thinking things.
So Lucy ignored her own suspicions, and walked to where Natsu and the others were sitting.
“What’s up guys?” she asked.
“Hey Lucy! We were just talking about the mission. So since you’re here, let’s get going,” Natsu said quickly.
