Loke carried Lucy gently out of the cave. She was still unconscious, after using up so much of her
magic power. He was pretty exhausted as well, but he knew he had to get Lucy to the village so
she could rest.
What was she thinking? Using such a powerful spell could have killed her.
He couldn’t help but be a little bit worried and frustrated. He didn’t want her to use all her power
like his previous master Karen.
That was the first time I saw Orion and Andromeda’s master. They must have a hard time dealing
with a master like that…
He finally reached their destination, and the villagers greeted them happily at the sight of their long
lost staff.
Loke handed their leader the staff, and in return he gave Loke their reward.
“Please accept this reward of 20,000 jewels and one sliver key. Your friend and you may stay here
until you are ready to leave. Don’t hesitate to ask us if you need anything.
“Thank you,” Loke responded with a smile.
A young boy with brown hair and hazel eyes approached them.
“Elie will lead you into one of the extra cabins. The young lady and you can stay there for now.”
“Thank you again. We’ll probably stay until Lucy recovers. I want to get her back home as soon as
possible.”
The leader nodded, and the young boy, Elie, made a hand motion for Loke to follow him.
“Here we are!” Elie said enthusiastically as they entered the small cabin. “Is Miss Lucy going to be
alright?”
As Loke placed Lucy on the bed, he responded saying, “Yes, Lucy will be fine.”
“Alright, please call on me if you need anything. My mother and I are in the cabin right next to this
one,” said Elie as he walked out the door.
Loke watched the boy as he left, but directed his gaze back to Lucy. He grabbed a chair that was
near the bed, and took Lucy’s hand in his. All he could do for now was hope that she was having a
good dream.
Two days later…
Lucy opened her eyes to an unfamiliar place. She quickly looked around, and stopped her gaze
when she saw Loke sleeping in a chair near the bed. She giggled at the sight of him still sleeping
with his sunglasses on. As she got off the bed, she tip toed to his side, and removed his
