"Carla..."
Nick entered the flat and saw Carla relaxing on the sofa. She turned around to see him walking towards her and he crouched on the floor next to her because she was taking all the room up by laying down.

Nick had just told his fiancé about the situation with Robert and he couldn't bear to see her reaction, she broke down in floods of tears as he wrapped her in a warm embrace which he knew always made her feel better, even if she didn't want to admit it.
"Shhh" he whispered "everything's going to be okay, I promise."
Carla believed every word, she had the best man in the world. She would just have to trust him.
