(Joey’s pov)

Shane left so I went to Sawyers’ room to see what he was doing.

Sawyer: Hey Joey!

Joey: Hi! Haven’t seen you in a few hours.

Sawyer: Yeah, what were you and Shane doing?

Joey: Don’t give me that look, we were just talking.

Sawyer: Talking while doing what?

Joey: Nothing! Just talking!

Sawyer: Yeah yeah. So are you guys together yet?

Joey: Maybe, but maybe not.

Sawyer: Not funny, tell me or else.

Joey: Okay, we are.

Sawyer: Finally!

Joey: What?

Sawyer: Everyone is telling me you guys are meant for each other.

Joey: Who’s everyone?

Sawyer: Tyler, Alfie, Zoe, Jim, Tanya, and just about everyone of our friends.

Joey: Oh.

(Shane’s pov)

Shane: Hey mom!

Teresa: Shane! I haven’t seen you in a week!

Shane: I know, I’m sorry.

Teresa: It’s okay honey.

She closed the door and we sat down in the living room.

Shane: I need to talk to you, mom.

Teresa: Sure honey.

Shane: I broke up with Lisa.

Teresa: Oh Shane, I’m so sorry. What happened?

Shane: She wasn’t the one.

Teresa: You weren’t in love with her?

Shane: No. I’m the worst person ever.

Teresa: Don’t say that Shane, it isn’t your fault.

Shane: I have to go now mom, I love you.

Teresa: I love you too honey.

I left my moms’ house because I thought I’d feel better if I just drove around. I got in my car and started it. Why can’t I be normal and just like myself like everyone else likes theirselves. I got a text from Joey.

Joey: Are you okay Shane?

Yes :)

Joey: Is that a fake smile?

Joey: Please come back, I want to talk to you.

In a little while, okay?

Joey: No, now. Or else I’ll come and find you.

Fine.

Joey: Thank you <3

Maybe he wanted to make me feel better. But maybe not. I backed out of my moms driveway and head to the apartment.
