(Shane’s pov)
Lisa finally left and I was still just standing there. I didn’t know what to do. Should I let her go or run after her? I love Joey, but I can’t just leave her like that. I found myself running towards her.
Shane: Lisa, wait.
Lisa: What Shane?
She was about to get in her car when I stopped her.
Shane: Lisa, I spent over a year with you. And honestly, it was one of the best times of my life. Please don’t think that I’m leaving you because of reasons that aren’t true. I can’t keep saying the true reason because it still hurts me to say it.
Lisa: It’s fine Shane, go inside.
Shane: Lisa, don’t fucking say it’s fine. It isn’t. I wish I wasn’t doing this to you. I can see it in your eyes. You're broken. And I want to help fix you as best as I can, even though I’m the one who broke you.
Lisa: How are you going to do that?
She was crying, not as much as before. I was trying not to.
Shane: Can we still do most of the stuff we did before, just as friends? Please, I can’t take it without you in my life. You’re my best friend.
Lisa: I need some time.
Shane: Promise me one thing, right now.
Lisa: As long as you answer one thing.
Shane: Hang out with me tomorrow?
Lisa: Fine. Do you still love me?
Shane: That’s the hardest part about this. I still do.
Lisa: I still love you too.
She left and I felt better about the whole situation. I felt like it would have turned out differently if I hadn’t gone after her. I can’t tell Joey, it’ll kill him.
(Joey’s pov)
What is taking Shane so long? I walked up to the window to look for him. I saw him and Lisa by her car. What are they talking about? Calm down Joey. Shane loves you, right?
