Day 2: Purple Bandanas, Vacuum Cleaners, and Cracked Eggs
"Rise and shine, the early bird gets the worm!"
What time was it? It really didn't matter, I was still sleepy.
"You guys, first come, first serve at breakfast!"
I could deal. Sleep was more important.
"Fine. I was just going to say that it would be really fun to play a little prank on some of the other cabins-"
"I'm up, Matty, tell me what to do!" Lily's voice sounded.
I grunted, cracking open an eye. A prank? I was up for a prank. I sat up and stretched my arms, yawning. "What time is it?" I asked, rubbing the sleep from my eyes.
"6:04!" Matty chirped.
"And, I'll be going back to sleep," I announced, laying back down.
"No, no, no, you're up!" Matty said, rushing over to me before I could pull my covers over my head. "Everybody, up, up, up! Time's a wastin' and I won't have my cabin to be the last to the canteen!"
I groaned again, but reluctantly got up.
Then, it was like every single girl in the cabin had had the exact same thought: seven girls, two bathrooms.
I ran into one of the bathrooms before anyone else could and slammed the door shut, locking it behind me. There was cussing and pounding from the other side, which provoked me to yell "Victory, suckers!" through the door.
I went through my routine as fast as I could (because every minute, a fresh threat was yelled along with pounding on the door) and walked out, my hair sopping wet, and a towel loosely wrapped around my body, an irritated expression on my face.
Kiera rushed in as soon as I was done, much to more protesting from the rest of the girls. Apparently, Liza had used the other bathroom first, and had rushed out a minute before me, because Tori had turned slightly violent because she needed to use the toilet.
I grabbed a pair of kakhi shorts and a tank top and got dressed in a corner. Unfortunately, I hadn't been able to blow dry my hair in the bathroom, so I just plugged my blow drier in the wall and dried my hair.
"Dude, you have such long hair! I didn't notice it yesterday 'cause it was in a bun. But goals!" Liza complimented, brushing her own hair.
"Thanks! I haven't cut it since sophomore year," I replied, unplugging the blow drier from the wall and packing it up. I stood in front of the full length mirror that all of us shared, and adjusted my outfit. I decided to leave my brown waves out because of Liza's compliment, and smiled at my reflection. "Go kick some ass today," I whispered to myself.
Tori and Kiera both burst put of the bathrooms at almost the exact same time, nearly trip tripping.
Yeah, we were gonna need a system for that.

"Why do you get first?" Beth complained."Because I called it first," Grace retorted, flipping her hair.
"Oh, yeah, that's great. Totally logical and everything," Beth said sarcastically, rolling her eyes.
"Guys, guys, let's just do it by last name," Matty suggested.
I raised an eyebrow and made eye contact with the other girls. We had been arguing over this for ten minutes straight as we ate our breakfast.
