She sure is beautiful. Whether it be in her most professional attire, to her cute casual clothing. Even sitting there on the swing sets rocking back and forth, she looks so wonderful.
From behind a big tree, he figured nobody could see him. He was just a shadow amongst this devastated park. Even so, he knew that he couldn’t risk her seeing him. Not yet. Especially not like this. Things weren’t ready for her. But he had to see her again. She thought she was clever by blocking my number. But oh she better prepare for the storm that is about to hit.
April 30th, 2012: Monday Evening
My phone is no longer working due to being exposed to a nice amount of water. If water is what you want to call it. The last thing I remembered was looking in the pond at the ripples, when I felt someone push me in. At least, I think I did. My immediate reaction was to get out of the pond as fast as possible, but thrashing around in the nasty water with lots of roots and tangles wasn’t the best idea. I didn’t think to look around first because it was a lot deeper than I even guessed. When I did get out, I made the long trek home to desperately get out of my clothes and into the shower. I swore someone pushed me in! I am not going crazy!
When Jennifer arrived at her apartment, she ripped off her clothes as fast as she could and took a two hour shower to scrub everything from the filthy pond off and out of her hair. Out of nowhere there was a knock on the door followed by, “Hey girl you alive in there?” Instantly she recognized Melanie’s voice.
Turning the water off finally and grabbing a towel, Jennifer responded, “Yeah I’m alive, long story short, I really needed that shower.” After squeezing the leftover water from her hair, she opened the door to Melanie sitting on the couch.
“You were in there forever! I have been home for over an hour. Is everything okay?” she said with great concern on her face.
Pulling a half smile, she said, “I’m fine now. I went to the police station this morning only to find they really don’t want to help me unless this creep is a threat. On top of that, I had an uneasy day at work and decided to come home and go for a jog. Except, that was the worst possible idea because I stopped at the park and played around for a bit before deciding to go around the pond. But of course, I somehow manage to land into the pond!”
Expecting sympathy from her good friend, Jennifer was shocked when Melanie burst into fits of laughter. After giving her a dirty look, Melanie’s laughing had ceased and turned into a very curious look. “Okay no need to give me a death glare. I’m sorry I was just laughing at your clumsiness.”
Giving her another ugly look, she sighed and then settled her friends curiosity. “I wasn’t being clumsy. Careless, yes. Clumsy, no. If you call being pushed into a pond clumsy, then by all means, I’m one big clumsy fool!”
Right then Melanie jumped up and started asking every question in the book. Jennifer put her hands up to shut her up. “I am not one hundred percent sure, but I believe I felt someone push me in. I was too preoccupied on getting out of the nasty water that I didn’t bother looking around to see the jerk run off. Anyways, I really don’t want to mention any more. I want this day to end already.”
“Well it’s only six. I think rest is a good idea but you need to let off steam. Come talk with me. Oh! I almost forgot, I found something for you.” she said motioning towards the counter. Sitting there was a nice heart box which most likely held chocolate.
“You got me chocolate? What kind of amazing friend are you?” Jennifer assumed.
“As much as I want to be that super awesome friend who does that, I didn’t actually do it. It was sitting on the door step signed from Garrett. Dang girl you got the best guy in the world. I hope you know how lucky you are! On top of that, I love the roses he got you.” Melanie enviously noted.
