"Long time no see, Jenny!" Garrett called while standing up from his seat as she approached.

"What has it been, a long couple of hours not seeing me?" She smiled while settling down in the booth across form him as he sat down too.

"No kidding. But who is counting? Anyways, I am starving. Let's get started!"

"Haha I already know what I want."

"As do I. I have already ordered you a water, because I know you so well. Anyways, how's your morning been? And please tell me you've stopped talking to that creepy old man?" He said as his smile slowly turned into a serious face.

She didn't know what to say so she gave him a half smile, and saw his face get a hint of anger. "Look Garrett, I'm just doing this for fun. There really isn't any danger in it. It's a random kid and I know I'm being stupid by texting back, but until I sense a threat, I'm not worried. So neither should you be. Anyways, how was your day?"

Before he could talk, the waitress came up and took their orders before collecting their menus and heading off. Garrett folded his arms in front of him and glared at Jennifer. "I just finished a quick project for my work and just have been working on chemistry homework. You don't know how lucky you are to be finished with it all."

'Thank goodness he's not dwelling on the whole texting thing. I have never seen him get worked up over something, and this is possibly the dumbest thing to set your sights on. Jealousy doesn't even begin to describe it, I suppose.' "No, I am not lucky. Even though I hated spending all my time doing homework, I am now working for who knows how long? If I plan to further my education, I seriously need to save all the money I can."

"I understand that, but I can't wait to be done with it all. It will be a nice break to actually not have to memorize things and finally get to do it instead."

"You know, I-..." Having been cut off by Garrett's phone going off, she instantly closed her mouth and just watched as he struggled to reach his phone. When he finally pulled it out, he gave her a one minute hand signal, and picked up the call. Jennifer didn't really like it when people were on their phones while hanging out or on a date, so she decided to look at her phone.

'3 missed messages! Geez, where to start?' One was from Garrett, and two of them were from Chase. Garrett's was just asking if she was on her way. Getting a little nervous for what Chase had to say next, she briefly looked up at Garrett and saw he was still in the middle of his phone conversation, and she hit 'Open message'.

["It makes sense! Christmas is my favorite holiday! What is yours?"]

["Oh, and I like your name, Jennifer. Do you have nicknames? Like Jenny for example? Can I call you Jenny?"]

'Wow this kid is very abrupt with his conversation. Almost like right to the point. I really have no clue to who I am talking to. Maybe Garrett is right....maybe I should just stop. I still can't believe I already told him my name. All I really know is that he is a boy named Chase. I guess I could ask him some more about himself.'

["Chase I have a question for you, just to be safe. Are you over 18? And to answer your other questions, my favorite holiday is Halloween and as for nicknames, well only my close friend calls me Jenny for some reason."]

After the text sent, she closed her phone and put it away, only to look back at Garrett who was staring intensely at her. "Enjoy your secret admirer text?"

"Look Garrett, if you're going to be like this, I wish I never even told you about it. And he's not a secret admirer, because he doesn't even know what I look like."
