There was a time when all I craved was the sound of your voice,
And seeing the gleam of your eye, as dark brown as they are, I was dazzled by stars
But knowing that my love for you could possibly ruin our friendship helped me decide that it wasn't worth it.
So I tucked my affection away, where I could only access it by swimming through the world's oceans.
You don't know it, but I would swim for you.
The thing is, I won't.
I'm okay now, even if it was hard to move on.
Just friends.
