The new volunteer opens her mouth. "Why do you want to kill yourself?"

And for once, she answers. "Why does the sun rise from the east and set in the west?"

And for once, the new volunteer (the only person, and one who exudes nothing) merely nods and accepts her answer.

Which only makes her...curious.

Slowly opening her eyes, she gazes up at the girl. Plain, nothing, unseen. "You're satisfied with that answer?"

The new volunteer cracks a smile-not too white, not full of shadows, and not burning fire. Just...nothing. "No, not really, but I have no need and no want to play word games with you or anyone else for that matter. The only thing I can do is wait until you're ready to tell me free of ambiguities."

She stares at the new volunteer before returning her eyes to the heavy drowning up above her. Reaching up, she wraps her hand around a cluster of stars, thinking for one moment that she has entire worlds crushed in her fist.

It's her first step to recovery when a wry smile twists her chapped lips, pulling at her cheek muscles until she's wincing in pain, but-

It's a smile.

"I want to crush this until nothing but fine dust remains."
