Chapter Eight. ✔️

Luke's POV

I'm sinking in dark water. I feel calm, like when my mom would sing lullabies to me when I was a child. I start to close my eyes. Then I hear an angel calling.

"Luke, Luke, come on wake up baby! Baby! Baby wake up right now! I didn't give you permission to die s-so your not allowed to die! Don't you DARE leave me!" My angel cries from the surface. I start to swim up.

I'm coming, just hold on angel. Just hold on. Almost there!

"Don't leave me Luke, please. I need you, I love you. I don't care if I die, you need to live." With that I come to the surface.

I open my real eyes and look at my crying angel. "Ruby I'm here, I love you. Don't cry angel. I won't die, I'm too stubborn." I finally say, a lazy smile on my face even though pain is running through me.

"Luke!" I smile but then a big dude comes and knocks her out. I try to stand up but I'm too weak. He starts to grab her when a man's voice stops him.

"Not her you idiot, the boss said to take her mate. Besides to second she'd wake up she'd kill you." He slaps him. Then they grab me and pull me into the car. I see my angel laying there. NOOO! RUBY! MUST GET TO RUBY!! We can't, we're too weak. We can barely move, we don't stand a chance. I sob to Mason. He then throws me into the back of my mind, barely allowing me to see what's going on. It's like being in a movie theatre, except worse. When I wake up all the problems are mine and I have deal with the damage.

"He's turning! We can't fight off a damn Alpha wolf!" The fool who tried to take my angel panics as Mason surfaced.

"He's the Queen's mate for a reason you moron! Of course he'd be the strongest Alphas in the country! Now be useful and get the wolves bane! It should sedate him long enough for us to get him inside, hurry up!" The bigger man yells trying to hold me down but me and Mason are both fighting angrily. He doesn't stand a chance. Me and my wolf sneer. We start brawling, even injured I can easily defeat a scum like him, no problem.

"STOP OR THE QUEEN DIES!!!"The man from earlier says holding a knife to Ruby's neck. I can smell the wolves and from here. I stop, my arm right in front of the man's nose.

"You wouldn't dare." I growl at him beyond angry. He throws me off, handcuff me with silver handcuffs, and they drag me into the car. I struggle with the metal burning my wrists. I soon pass out from the pain and blood loss.

Ruby POV

They took him, they took him and I was just laying there useless! I slept as he was taken! Luke I'm sorry. I panic as I go toward my old cabin that me and the twins lived in all that time ago. I take out the key from the mailbox. I limp inside. I wrap all my wounds up. I call Kendall.

"Kendall, they took him." I sob as he picks up.

"Who'd they take? Where are you? We've been looking for you!"

"A truck flipped us over and they took Luke! I'm going to get him back though." I huff, pacing back and forth as I think about where they might've taken Luke.

"Ruby, Ruby where are you? I'm going to find you!"

"Don't waste your time, I'm leaving soon anyway." I snap.

"Then I'll go with you, the whole pack will."

"No Kendall, you have to watch over the pack as beta. I also refuse to put you all in danger."

"Please!"

"No this is official rouge business. If you get involved, they'll kill you. If I kill Jonathan with help all his loyalists won't accept it and it's too risky." I explain, peaking outside. I'm still alone, good.

"What'll happen to them when you're gone?" Good he changed the subject.

"My apprentice will take over. She's like me and I've known her and practically raised her, she knows how to control them. They respect her. You may know her as the Rouge Princess. She's capable of the job."

"I still want to help you." He states slightly annoyed.

"I'll call if there's anything you can do. It'll probably be the day I find Luke. Goodbye brother."

"No Ruby don't you dare hang up on me!" He's too stubborn.

"I love you brother, talk to you later." I hang up and cry.
