Ruby's POV
It's been two weeks since me and Alexis killed Jonathan. You'd think I'd feel guilty for killing the guy I used to love, but the boy I loved died a long time ago and was replaced with a fake. Or maybe the boy I loved was never even real. Anyway today I'm making the big announcement to both kingdoms.
Right now I'm at my final dress fitting of my reign as Queen of Bloods. I'm getting a personalized dress. It's a Victorian style dress. There's layers of black underskirts with a red, silk fabric on top, it would cover the underskirts but one end was pinned up with a black bow to the visible corset. The top front part is covered with black jewel designs. I look at my fourteen year old successor, Miracle Wolf. When I met her she was also an orphan. I met her after Jonathan.
~~flashback~~
"Hey miss?" I turn to see a small girl about thirteen maybe. She looks like she hasn't eaten in a while.
"Yes? Do you want some food?" I ask holding my hotdog. I wasn't that hungry anyway. She sniffs it before taking it from my hand gratefully.
"Thank you miss." She says chowing down. I choke back a laugh. Once she's done I notice her shivering uncontrollably.
"Calm down, you'll choke. What's your name sweetie?" I ask giving her my jacket. She takes it. It looks comical how big the jacket is on her.
"I don't have one. But they call me Runner." She says sitting down with me
"What's your favorite letter?" I question. She looks up thoughtfully.
"M"
"How about Miranda or maybe Miracle?"
"I like Miracle. What's your name miss?"
"I'm Ruby. But they call me the Queen of Bloods. Don't be scared though." She laughs leaning on me.
"Why would I be? You're like me, a lost girl. Plus you bring people like me hope. I wish I was like you."she smiles.
"Thank you. Do you want to join me?"
"Where to?"
"A place called Phoenix. I want to expand my kingdom there. I want you to come with me."
"Why me of all rouges?" She asks confused.
"You're special, I can tell. So Miracle, want to join me?"
"Yeah, do you mind if I call you Mommy?" My eyes widen in surprise.
"Go ahead, I already named you, plus you do make me want to care for me." I smile at my little friend.
~~end of flashback~~
"Mama, how do I look?" Miracle asks showing off her new dress. It was a more modern, casual knee high dress. It's fully grey. The top part is lacy with a pearl covered neckline. I look at her smiling. It's simple but it compliments her beautiful red-brown hair perfectly. Her hair is down but her bangs are held back by beautiful butterfly clips.
"You look gorgeous. Just like a queen to be should. Remember, Zachary will help you but you can fully take over when you feel fit. You can also call me if you need help." I tell her pulling her into a hug.
"Mama, I'm scared. What if they don't like me? What if they expect me to be as good as you? What if I fail? What if I find my mate and he hates our kingdom?" Miracle panics in my arms. I shush her gently.
"They'll love you. Just remember to be strong, be confident, be yourself, and don't ever let them see you cry and let them laugh. If they laugh, then snap at them. And mates will always accept you, no matter what. I love you my little Miracle. When I met you I saw a light in your soul through your eyes. It reminded me of my little sister. She is the freaking keeper of light! You'll do great." I smile at her.
"Thanks Mama."
"No problem." With that we walk to the throne room. There waited everyone.
"Hello my allies and friends! I have a huge announcement to make! I shall be stepping down from being queen. It's not any of your faults. I simply want to be with my mate, Alpha Luke of the Shadow Moon pack." I announce at my throne. There's a chorus of gasps and murmurs.
"Settle down! I won't leave you all. I have already chosen my successor. Everyone! Put your hands together for Miracle Wolf, the Princess of Rouges. By the end of today the next Queen of Bloods! She won't take this role alone. I may be a bit crazy but I am not that crazy." I earn a round of chuckles. "Zachary the ex-alpha of the legendary Blood Rouge pack shall take over. We all miss when they were a pack and we all were free, but this way is safer and we can be ourselves and have a family. So I give my crown to Miracle!" I announce. They all applaud. Zachary and Miracle step up to the stage. Zachary is wearing a simple fully black suit with a white tie.
"I shall not disappoint. I shall protect you all with my life. I will also judge everyone fairly! So let the coronation begin!" Miracle smiles. They all smile and root her on.
~~After the ceremony~~
"That's it. We'll be going now. I love you all but now I must get back home." I hug all my friends and loyal soldiers. I made alliances with everyone of them myself. Sometimes I made them all at one place.
"Goodbye Queen of Bloods. You'll be missed." Zachary bows.
"That's no longer my position. I'll see you all sooner or later. I promise." I promise them. They smile up/down at me. With that me and Luke go home.
