I am so sorry this is actually pretty sappy I guess you could say.
Lol enjoy--"Babe, I am sorry." I sigh to him through FaceTime.
"Y/N, this is the fourth time you can't make it to my game because of school." He said, looking quite disappointed. It was true, he had reserved specific tickets each game for me to come see him play but with all my school work, it was quite complicated. Of course, he and I would see each other, but the issue was either he was on the road or I was too busy with school. There was about three more days left of school until spring break and him and I had planned on a weekend in Cancun together.
"Tyler, three more days please. Then we will be on the beach just you and I." I tried telling him.
"Y/N! That's not the point!" He suddenly gets louder. "I want you to come to my games, I haven't seen you in almost a month! I don't know how much more I can take! I can't take a relationship like this, I need stability!" He shouts, tugging at his hair.
"Fine, Tyler, enjoy your little vacation. Don't you think it's childish to act like this?" I say back to him, the tears clouding my eyes. I looked up at the clock and seen it was almost three and I had a class. "I have to go." I tell him and automatically end the call. It wasn't usual for Tyler to act in this way, and I wondered what exactly was bothering him.
---------------------------------------------------
Once my class had ended, it was about five. I went to the closest mcdonalds and got something for dinner, then made my way back to my apartment. If I didn't have the 3 o'clock class, I would have gone to Tyler's game, but beings as my school is about an hour from Dallas, it doesn't help. I turn on Ty's game, just in time for the puck drop. I checked my phone, expecting a text from Tyler. Before every game, he would text me and make sure I was watching him and tell me that he loves me, but tonight I didn't get the text. Since it is my last year of college, it's been super hard to do anything for myself. I was studying to become a pediatric nurse, which required quite a bit of schooling in actuality. I adverted my attention back to the game, just as the announcers yelled. Tyler laid at center ice, not even moving a muscle. They showed a recap of what exactly happened, and Tyler had been checked, but his head was down and he wasn't paying attention when it happened. I immediately throw my books down, and grabbed my car keys. I knew it was probably a bad choice to leave now, but Tyler was hurt and I couldn't help but think in someway it was my fault.Once I reach Dallas, I automatically go to the hospital which is closest to American Airlines Center, Parkland Memorial Hospital. I rush in, and make my way to the emergency room, ignoring every stare people gave me. I immediately see Tyler's bestfreind, Jamie, sitting in the waiting room.
"Jamie, please tell me he's ok?" I ask him as I sit down.
"They haven't given us an update on him because we aren't family..." He says, his face showing no emotion. I sigh, and stand up. I made my way to security in an attempt to find Tyler's room.
"Hi I am looking for Tyler Seguin he was brought in about an hour and a half ago..."
I tell the older man behind the glass."Only family can see him." He blankly says.
"Well I'm his fiancé.." I say, automatically recognizing the lie I had told. He scribbles down a room number on a visitors pass, and directs me to where his room is.
Once I walk into Tyler's room, and rush to his side. He smiled once I walked in, and I leaned in to hug him. I felt so bad for blowing him off, especially once he was injured.
"What happened?" I question him, softly rubbing his back, still embraced.
"I was distracted... I'm sorry for getting so mad at you. I want you to know I am proud of all you have accomplished." He tells me, smiling slightly.
