Okay. So lately I've been noticing that whenever a fanfic writer has writer's block, they pick a character out of a hat and put them in a coma.
WHAT. THE. HELL. I WISHED THERE WAS BIGGER CAPS LOCK FOR THIS.
OH DEAR LORD. ENOUGH WITH THE HOSPITALS.
As soon as I read about a car crash/physical abuse/suicide attempt/fainting, I lose interest. Seriously. It turns me completely off the book because it means the author can't think of anything better to put,
If it really has to happen, to develop the plot and all, then ONCE is ENOUGH. Surely your characters would get sick of the hospital sooner or later, right?
I DO NOT WANT TO READ FORTY SEVEN "I SLOWLY OPENED MY EYES TO AN ANNOYING BEEPING SOUND. I OPENED MY EYES COMPLETELY AND LOOKED AROUND, I WAS IN A STERILE WHITE ROOM, WITH TOOLS EVERYWHERE, AND- WAIT A SECOND! I'VE BEEN HERE BEFORE! FORTY SIX OTHER TIMES TO BE EXACT!"
LET YOUR POOR CHARACTERS GO FOR A WHOLE CHAPTER WITHOUT FAINTING OR GETTING IN A CAR CRASH/COMA.
Ughh.
I hate fanfictional hospitals more than I hate real ones. >.<
