Closer To Heaven

"Nightmare"

    A voice came over the radio. "Look out! Bandit! At 1 o' clock high! Break!" Mobius 1 was being chased by Yellow 13. He did twists and turns trying to shake Yellow 13. Yellow 13 then disappeared into the clouds and then reappeared in front of Chris. Yellow 13 then fired a missile. Chris had no time to react and the missile ripped straight through the cockpit killing him instantly. Elizabeth watched in horror; she couldn't move. Yellow 13 then changed targets and went after Mobius 4, Maria. Elizabeth wanted to say something but no words came out of her mouth. Yellow 13 chased Maria and then out of nowhere, James, Mobius 5, came behind Yellow 13. James fired but Yellow 13 was too quick. Yellow 13 then performed a Cobra maneuver to get behind James. Yellow 13 had a clear shot and fired. James's plane ripped to pieces and caught on fire. James didn't bail.

    Elizabeth couldn't take it. Elizabeth tried her best to move, but she was able to. Maria tried to get away but two missiles chased after her. Maria fired flares and only one went for them while the other exploded on impact. Maria quickly bailed. Elizabeth was scared; she didn't know where Yellow 13 went. Then, all of the sudden, Yellow 13 was heading straight for her. Elizabeth was only able to press the trigger. They both fired and they both went down. Elizabeth quickly bailed out and so did Yellow 13.

    When Elizabeth reached the ground, she twisted her ankle on impact. Maria then came out of nowhere to help her but Maria was shot in the leg and she quickly took cover behind a tree. Yellow 13 and Maria fired at each other until Maria was shot in arm. She screamed and fell. Yellow 13 walked towards her and Maria tried to shoot her but she was out of ammo. Yellow 13 then stood over her and pointed her pistol at Maria. She fired and Maria no longer moved. Elizabeth tried to get up and run but her twisted ankle denied her. She crawled and crawled, crying along the way. Yellow 13 caught up with her and pushed her over. She then took Elizabeth's pistol and threw it away. She then pointed her pistol at Elizabeth, but when she pressed the trigger, the gun turned out to be empty. Elizabeth couldn't see Emma's face for it was covered by the oxygen mask and visor. All she saw was her own trembling reflection. "Emma, please." She pleaded. Emma then pulled out a knife and got on top of Elizabeth. "Emma! Please stop! Please! Please! Stop!" Elizabeth pleaded loudly. Emma then started to undo Elizabeth's flight suit. When she was done she stopped for a moment. Elizabeth could hear her breathing heavily in the mask. "Emma, it's me. It's Eliza--" Before Elizabeth finished, Emma stabbed her in the stomach. Elizabeth looked in horror and looked back up at her own reflection in Emma's visor. Elizabeth coughed up blood and started to cry from the pain. Emma continuously stabbed Elizabeth in the stomach. Elizabeth tried to stop her or say something but she couldn't. Elizabeth's vision started to get blurry and darken. Emma then slowly shoved the knife in Elizabeth's heart. "Gllurrkk! E-E-Emma!" Elizabeth tried to speak with all of the blood in her mouth. Her vision then went completely black.

    Elizabeth quickly jumped up in the bed with a loud catch of breath. She even woke up Emma. Sweat ran down on her body and her heart thumped at an incredible speed. Tears ran down her cheeks and she started to whimper. Emma comforted her. Elizabeth hugged Emma tightly and buried her face in her chest. Emma tried to calm her down by shushing her and rubbing her head. "Shhhhh, it's ok. Shhhhh. There, there. Shhhhh." Emma continued to rub Elizabeth's head and rock her back and forth. Emma then slowly laid Elizabeth down with her. Elizabeth kept on crying and Emma kissed her on the forehead. "E-Emma! Emma! Emma!" Elizabeth cried. Emma continued to comfort her. "It's ok. It was just a dream. It was just a dream." Emma said as she continued to comfort Elizabeth. That night, Elizabeth couldn't sleep all too well.
