"It's 5am, get up.", Elaine throws a pillow at me, her accuracy being rot since it landed on my feet.

Ugh, why does my school bus have to come by so early?

"Don't forget, today, you promised", Elaine walks into the kitchen as I'm pouring some natural orange juice into my glass.
"I didn't prooomise", I reply, taking a big chunk of my chocolate Hershey waffle.
Elaine growls ."Well whatever, you have to be there anyway. I'll go pick you up at 2:30 pm at school please be-
"Woaah so my responsible older sister is making me get out of school before schedule I-"
"What does that even mean?",I'm interrupted
I laugh."Nothing, see ya latah alligatah", I try to imitate a British accent.

I love everything British: the food, architecture, the people, their accent, just to mention some. I would love to go to college in either London, Brighton or Manchester, but if United Kingdom is not on my destiny, Germany is a really good option.

"What!", I exclaim as I watch my school bus leaving my block.
"I - I - but, I was on time? I was on time. What is wrong with Ben oh my God what am I supposed to do now?" I look all around. There's not a single noise. Not a car, not a motorcycle, not even a chirping bird, nothing.

I stare at my legs knowing that I have to run, I need to get in time, I don't want to spend an hour on detention with Ms. Lilian Ogre. I start walking, kind of jogging at the same time.
I stare at my white, wrist watch."7:20am. I have 25 minutes to get there."

After fifteen minutes of intense jogging, I needed to buy a bottle of water. I instantly spot a mini market at the end of the street. I walk inside and buy my precious water and a milky way chocolate bar. I drink some water and put my chocolate bar inside my backpack.

I already gave up on arriving early, so I'll just assume the consequences in the horrible detention room, ugh.

And, I'm right; when I arrive the high school building, there's not a single soul pacing around. All doors are closed, and Ms. Lilian is waiting for all of us, late arrivers, on the cafeteria.
"Detention", she says as she writes down a pass for me to be allowed into detention. Sometimes I don't get this school's rules. Oh well.

I direct myself to the last wooden door at the right side on the hallway. I open it and see Mr. Bradford reading yesterday's local newspaper. I slide my pass onto his desk as he looks at me and nods, directing me to take a seat. I sit next to the window that has a nice view to the basketball court. Besides football, basketball is the second sport I like the most, but it wouldn't really work out for me, as I'm 1.50m. I set my backpack on my legs and take out my Milky Way. I uncover it and enjoy the glorious chocolaty goodness.

Someone opens the door. It's Ms. Lilian
"Dear Mr. Bradford, don't forget that three new kids are coming today", she leans on his desk, "you are going to be helping them out in anything they need and presenting them to their classmates", she orders, "two of them come from the same high school and grade and the other one comes from London. I'll call you into my office when the three of them have arrived."
Mr. Bradford simply nodded as Ms. Lilian directed herself back to the hallway.

New kids. And one of them is from the city of my dreams, London. I don't know if they're going to be my classmates, Ms. Lilian didn't mention a thing about it. Oh well. We'll see further in the day.

The bell rings, indicating that I can leave this quiet, boring hell. It was not that bad, just because Ms. Lilian wasn't supervising today. Phew.

I dart to my locker to get everything I need for the next two periods.
"What happened to you? Why were you late?", May asks as she opens her locker door and takes out her Chemistry book.
"I didn't catch the bus", I close my locker and take my seat.
