I am woken by the unbearable pain on my foot. Wow, that soccer match really burnt me. I sat back on my bed and felt a lot of tension in between my shoulders and neck. I'm starting to get stressed, this is not good. I get up and direct myself to the bathroom.
Once I've had a long, relaxing, and warm shower, I put on my uniform and put my hair back in a ponytail. I stare out my window and admire the morning sky. Today it's pretty cloudy and a bit chilly. I walk to my closet and put on a grey, high neck sweater.
I'm not too hungry so I just take in a raspberry and strawberry smoothie. There's no sound in my house. I sneak into Elaine's room and notice an empty bed. My parents are already at work, I'm guessing.
Once I've left my house and made my way to the bus stop, I notice that the whole neighborhood is quiet. Is this the apocalypse? Not a single noise. This is like Silent Hill, except that there is no siren's sound, or I should wait a minute. Silent Hill was the first video game I ever played, and since then I fell in love with videogames and horror games.
I take out my phone and decide to check twitter. After replying to some mentions, I spot my school bus coming down the street. I put my phone on my uniform pocket as I wait for the bus to stop. Once I've set myself in, I start playing some relaxing music. After a few kids have climbed up, I notice that all of them are asleep, so I decided to sleep too, as we still had half an hour to get to school. What's best than sleeping on a cloudy day?
"You look like a zombie", Daniel says as I approach a cafeteria bench. They're having breakfast.
"Thanks", I reply and sit beside May. I yawn.
I start looking around at the half full cafeteria, until I spot a familiar face, I smile and start to walk towards him.
"Hi," I wave at Alexander
"Hey, how are you?", Alexander smiles
"I'm good, how are you? What are you doing here?", I ask in a surprised tone.
"I guess I now study here...", he shrugs
"So, now you're a senior? Here? In my high school? God how am I going to deal with you?"
He laughs and moves his gaze at my back. There's no need to turn around as I hear my best friends talking.
"Would you like to introduce us?", May lays on my shoulder
"Alexander, these are May, and Daniel, my best friends", I introduce them.
"Nice to meet you both", his British accent perfectly fitting his smile.
"And how do you both know each other?", May asks.
Alexander and I stare at each other and smile.
"We actually met yesterday. Remember that I told you my sister was taking me somewhere? Well, she took me to the mall and Alexander was there.", I grin.
"So Alexander is the man in his mid forties?", Daniel laughs. I blush.
"Let's get out of here, I'm hungry", May starts walking out.The bell rings. We start walking towards our classroom, Myra and Lana joining us.
"Well, I guess you are part of our group now", Daniel says to Lana and Myra and they smile. "What about me?", Alexander asks as he walks past us. I smile, "Why not?", he smiles back at me and leaves down the hallway. We all get ready for our first period, art. After a lot of writing during the first period and the second period, which was biology, May, Daniel, Alexander, Lana, Myra and I go downstairs and sit near the football court, on some old, red painted bench and start eating.
Suddenly, May breaks the silence.
"Everybody goes to my house", she swallows a piece of her burger, "so you guys have to come too", she looks at the new members of the weirdos club.
"Uhm... I don't know if I can...my mom i-",
"Just call her and tell her you have a group school project and that you have to come", May interrupts Myra.
"Alright, I'll call her", Myra stands up and dials her mom.
"What about you two?", May stares at both Lana and Alexander.
"Yeah sure", the both say in unison and smile at each other
"You're coming right?", May asks, slapping my leg
"Yup", making emphasis on the 'p' sound.
We see Myra coming back, jumping. "She said yes! I can come!", she exclaims and we all finish our lunch.
