Amy's POV
Today my sisters and I are finally having a concert in New York and I'm so excited! We've had small concerts here but never a big on because of 'safety reasons' according to our mom and older brother Michael.
"Hey Dan, You excited?" I ask my 16 year old little sister.
"Yes!! New York has always been on of my favorite cities." she says jumping up and down as we reach the venue.
Woah, that's so large. I can't believe we sold out this place. It's an outdoor amphitheater which is exciting because we've never performed at and amphitheater before.
We head backstage towards the dressing room where we prepare to go on stage.
---Skips To The Concert---
Kayla's POV
I was watching the girls perform live for the first time ever and I've never been prouder of them, I've been a CimFam since the beginning with Party in the USA.
Out of the corner of my eye I saw kinda shifty movement towards the back of the theater while they were performing A Lot Like Love. It almost looked like a... gun????? What the heck?
I saw them pull up their hand to shoot towards Lisa and just before the bullet went passed me being in the first row I jump and take the bullet and the whole room went silent. That hurt like hell.
I saw Christina, Katherine and Lauren run towards me while Lisa, Amy and Dani were standing in shock and that was the last thing I saw before my vision started fading slowly.
"No, stay with us. Come on sweetheart, what's your name?" Chris asks grabbing my hand and applying pressure on my wound.
"Kay- Kayla," I choke out.
"That's a beautiful name, Now come on stay with us. An ambulance is on the way." Lauren says playing with my hair. "Thank you," and that's the last thing I remember before I pass out.
Lauren's POV
We were performing A Lot Like Love but right before the bridge we all heard a loud bang and we all stopped playing as a young girl jumps up from the front row and gets hit by..a bullet? Everything went in slow motion after that.
Christina, Katherine and I all run towards her and Chris tells her to stay with us and asked her her name, her name is Kayla.
Soon she passed out as the ambulance arrived. We all get off stage and head to the van and then to the hospital.
"What just happened??" Dani said in shock.
That's when it all hit me like a ton of bricks. There was someone who didn't like me so much that they wanted to shoot me. Kayla was right in front of me when she got shot, I was the reason it happened to her.
"Laurie? You okay?" Kath asks and I just look at her with tears threatening to spill from my eyes.
She pulls me in for a hug and rubs my back as I sob. "What's going on Lo?" Lise says grabbing my hand once Katherine and I let go of our embrace.
"I-I was the- the reason Kayla was Sh-shot." I say putting my head in my hands, by then everyone noticed what was going on in the backseat so they were all turned around looking at us.
"What do you mean Sugar?" Dan says reaching for my arm but I snap on her.
"I'M THE REASON WHY SHE WAS SHOT. SHE WAS RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME, SOMEONE HATED ME SO MUCH THEY WANTED ME DEAD. THAT BULLET WAS GOING FOR ME AND KAYLA JUMPED IN FRONT OF IT FOR ME!" I scream. "That's what I mean." I whisper out as I return my head to my hands.
Everyone was silent after that until we got to the hospital.
When I got out I ran though the front door and to the lady at the front desk.
"There was a girl who had gotten shot, her name is Kayla, where is she?" I asks panicky.
"Are you a close friend or relative?" she says relatively calm.
"I'm a friend,"
"I'm gonna asks you for your name, and for you to take a seat and a doctor will be right out to see you."
"Lauren, Lauren Cimorelli is my name." I say and she nods as I turn to take a seat.
Just then the rest of my family runs in.
"Lauren! Don't do that to us, we didn't see you run in. We didn't know where you were." Amy says letting out a breath of relief.
"Yeah, you never do."I say under my breath.
"What was that Laur?" Christina asks.
"Nothing. Kayla's doctor will be out here soon to talk to us." I say and they all sit down with Lisa and Christina next to me.
After about 45 minutes a doctor came out and ask the front desk about something and then heads towards the waiting room and said "Lauren Cimorelli?"
I stood up as well as Christina and Lisa, and we all walked towards him.
"Hi," I say shaking the doctors hand. "I'm Lauren and these are two of my older sisters Christina and Lisa."
He shakes both their hands as well, "I'm doctor Morrison, you're Kayla's friend correct."
"Yes," I say and start shaking hoping she's okay.
"Well Kayla was shot once in her left shoulder blade, and lost almost 50% of her blood, we need a donor or there is only 25% chance she will survive."
"I will," I say and Christina grabs my arm.
"You sure Laur?" she asks.
"Yes, I'll do it. I have O-"
"Okay, I'll get you the forms and since I assume you're under 21 you will need and adult signature." he says and I nod while he walks away to get the forms.
"Laur, You sure you're sure you want to do this?" Lisa says looking me dead in the eye.
"I'm positive, I'm not going to let Kayla die for me. She saved my life and now I'm going to save her." I say dead serious (Which, let's face it, isn't irregular for me).
Dr. Morrison comes back hands me the forms and says he'll be back in a few minutes so I can fill out the forms.
