***6~ Mason
The next morning I woke up feeling refreshed and extremely excited. I was going to look for Lilli today on my way to pick up my bike. Maybe she'd be jogging. It really was pretty outside. I hoped she will be.
I couldn't help but grin at my mom when I walked in on her making something that smelled delicious. She rolled her eyes.
"Mason, honey, you've got it baad," she said, winking and plopping eggs onto a plastic plate with a Tonka Truck on it. She smirked at me. I laughed.
"I'm going to pick up my bike in a few," I said, my mouth full of piping hot eggs. I flailed for a second before downing a glass of milk.
"Those might be hot, considering they just got done cooking," she joked. I rubbed my singed tongue. She snorted at my wounded face and grabbed the newspaper off the table, heading for the living room.
"Have fun with Brady, and be home by 6!" She said, waving at me with the comics and sitting on the couch. I scrubbed my plate and glass before kissing her forehead and heading out the front door.

I got up extra early to go jogging, walking downstairs and grabbing a Poptart and a bottled water. My hair was down and as straight as I could get it, which isn't very straight. I was wearing Nike shorts and a tank top since it was hot yet windy outside. It really was beautiful. I went outside and started out in a trot, my camera around my neck as always. I took some really nice pictures of my golden retriever, Sandy, whom I always jog with. She loved it. I snapped a few of a couple of kids playing frisbee as well, catching their smiling faces perfectly. After a while, I sat down in the grass, inhaling Maine's signature pine scent, and brushed my hair aside with my hand. I was seriously disgusting, drenched in sweat. It was never this hot, especially in November.
I was just about to get up when I saw someone ride past on a bike. I would have taken a picture and otherwise not paid any attention, but when I raised up my lens to get an action shot, I realized that it was Mason. I called out, covering my mouth and hoping he hadn't heard my desperate yelp. He turned and smiled and mouthed something, then continued on. Wow. I'd expected him to stop. I'm not sure why. "Lilli, he tripped over you, that's it. Stop expecting so much." I whispered to myself.
