"This is a poppy seed." Greytail gently pushed a small black seed towards me. I poked it with a paw. "What does it do?" Greytail picked up the seed, dropping it on a pile of other seeds. "It helps cats with sleeping problems, shock, stress and eases pain." I nodded. He flicked his tail at a pile of dark green leaves. "What are those?" "These are dock leaves. They help soothe scratches and sore pads." He looked at a bright purple berry. "This is a-" "Help!" A small fluffy cream shape limped in, leaning on a dark grey kit. Darkkit looked up and blurted. "Mallowkit stepped on a thorn!" Mallowkit heldup her paw. Greytail didn't budge. Instead, he looked softly at me. "Can you get the thorn out?" I hesitated. Could I? I might as well try. Mallowkit held her paw up, low enough for me to grab the thorn in between my teeth. I tugged, and tugged, and I fell back. Mallowkit was shaking her paw. "Thanks Snowkit!" I spat the thorn out. Blood gently stained the tip. "My paw's not bleeding." Mallowkit assured me, before running out. Darkkit glanced at me, before following his littermate. Greytail smiled at me. "You will be a great medicine cat." Being a medicine cat seemed great! I padded out of the den. I saw Stormkit bounding towards the elder's den. "Stormkit!" He skidded to a halt and turned to face me. "Yes Snowkit?" "Can I join you?" Stormkit paused. "I thought you were spending quality time with Greytail." I shook my head and ran over to him. We entered the elder's den. A cat looked up, her green eyes soft. Another cat stirred, before looking up. "Ah, kits." The other cat looked up at us. I twitched. We padded towards them. "W-We were wondering if you could tell us a story." The elders glanced at each other. "We might as well introduce." The tortoise-shell she-cat said. "I am Mossfire." She flicked her tail at the other two toms, one a pale brown tabby, and the other a white tom with black stripes. "And this is Birchtail and Webfur." Webfur twitched his whiskers. "And you are?" Stormkit chirped. "I'm Stormkit, and this is Snowkit!" Birchtail smiled. "And here is a story." Mossfire lowered her voice until it was only a whisper. "This is the story of a Shadowclan leader. He killed many." Stormkit asked. "What was his name?" Birchtail smiled. "He was a muscular brown tabby. His darker stripes slashed through his fur. One ear has a long scar, made by Lionstar. His amber eyes were like fire, scorching his rivals. His name was Brackenstar." Webfur snapped. "Don't scare the kits! Brackenstar can't even hurt them!" Mossfire glared at Webfur, silencing him. Her voice was soft now. "Shadowclan was soon, plunged into fear. They were feared. Once, Brackenstar led an attack on Windclan, wiping out one of Swiftstar's lives." Webfur flicked his tail, irritated. "Then he was stopped." Stormkit widened his eyes. "By who?" Birchtail smiled. "He was killed by Wolfstar, the leader of Thunderclan." Mossfire was looking at the sky. The blue sky had darkened. "Go now young ones." Stormkit looked sorrowful. "Now? But..." Webfur cut him off. "Go back to your mother. She might be worrying." I bounded out. Stormkit padded out. More slowly then normal. I was already at the entrance of the nursery when I felt a shiver run through me. I turned to look at Stormkit. A pale ghostly shape was winding around him and he padded towards me, looking at his paws. The shape was a cat, amber eyes glowing softly, his grey fur sleek and the russet tipped tail looked as if it were dipped in blood. I blinked. "You coming?" Stormkit pushed me a bit, going into the nursery. The shape was gone. Who was that? We padded into the safety of the nursery. Maybe no-one was safe now.
(BrackenSnake Yes, I included your cat in this. >:3 Birchtail might of exaggerated, of did he... *cue evil laughter*)
