Dear Diary,
Cyrus has grown more ruthless as the earth grows colder around us; his beatings and rape have become more persistent and violent needless to say, I know not of how I am to be strong for much longer. Why in fact today he nearly strangled me to death before throwing me to the ground causing my head to hit the bed post. I do believe I fainted, for when I awoke I noticed a pool of red located beneath my head on the floor. I glanced up at the door and could have sworn that Sir Thaddeus was standing in the doorway staring down at me, but when I blinked there was no one there; however, that's not all that was unordinary today. I picked myself up off the floor and made my way to the wash room, when I looked in the mirror at my reflection I came to the conclusion that the pool of red on the floor was in fact my own blood, dripping from the large gash on the side of my head. With a simple spell I was able to get that fixed up no problem, but I think I may have still felt a bit woozy from the blood loss. As I turned to leave the bathroom a maiden, who appeared a little older than I, stood in front of me.
She introduced herself as Genevieve Petrova, and claimed to be my elder sister! Mother and father, when they were still alive, never mentioned an older child so I was quite taken aback by such knowledge. She continued to explain how mother and father abandoned her, ashamed to call her their daughter after I was born. I was known as the "perfect child" in their eyes and Genevieve despised me for it. I wish that if this information is to be true, that Genevieve and I can make amends, and she shall forgive me for any harm caused to her. I've always longed for someone else I can call family, but before I could question her any further she vanished into thin air.
Much Love,
Guinevere Petrova
