.8 Run

Taehyung POV

Everything seemed to freeze in time. The guy was looking at the kid while the girl and I locked eyes.
"Run!" I yelled while knocking the guy flat on his bum
Onlookers already seemed to stir and I assumed they called the police, so I grabbed her arm and we jet down the street.

We quickly pull into a park and all hide behind the slide. I look at the girl to make sure she's fine, but she starts making some weird noises...

'Oh my god is she okay?!????'

"Hey you alright?" I ask tilting my head to the side

She stuck out her hand, "my-- inhailer- please."

I quickly grabbed it from her pocket and she took two deep breaths.

Then something unexpected happened, she laughed. It wasn't a weird cackle or snort, it was kinda cute.

"Why are you laughing?" The kid asked

"Why? Because its the most fun I've had in a while." She said smiling valiantly.

She caught me looking at her and awkwardly smiled, "sorry for the trouble I gave you... But could I trouble you once more?"

Jungkook POV

The sirens blared in my face. What in the world could have happened? I asked the store clerk if she had seen Haeri and she told me she was with some guy and pointed out the direction they ran. I thanked her and exited the store, 'she's with a guy?'

Half way down the street my phone began to ring. It was from an unknown number? I picked up cautiously, "uh-hello?"

"Jungkook?" It was Haeri's voice

"Haeri?! Where are you? Are you okay?" I asked

"Yeah I'm okay-"
"Hey you almost done?" A voice cut off

"Who are you with?" I asked

"Ah, he helped me out back there, this is his phone actually. Um where are you right now? We are at the park near the cafe." She said

"I'll be right there."

Taehyung POV

"Who was that? Your boyfriend?" I asked taking back my phone

"Hmm, should I call him that?" She said fixing the kid's hair

"What's that supposed to mean?!" I asked

"I don't know myself. He's a good guy and all." She said sighing

"Good guy? You into bad boys?" I said jokingly pushing my hair back with my palm. 'I got her to laugh again, small victories are the best *inner fistbump*.'

"That's not what I mean, I meant he's too nice to be dating someone like me." She said avoiding eye contact

"But you're pretty and cool!" The boy said, "if I were older I'd marry you!"

"In your dreams bud." She said messing up his hair, immediately the boy messed her hair up too.

I couldn't help but laugh at the both of them.

"Haeri!" A voice shouted.

"Jungkook?!" She replied setting the boy down

He rushed to her and checked her up and down for injury, "I had thought you ran into Ina or something! Be more careful with this." He said handing back her phone

"Ah I'm sorry Jungkook." She said hanging her head down

"Hey. Who said you could yell at her?" I said standing up.

'Nice my ass, here he is yelling at her for saving a kid. Nice try."
