Jungkook Pov
I arrived at school the next morning rather early to see if Haeri was there, but I didn't see her. I went to my locker when I felt a familiar arm slither around my waist.

"Kookie, guess who?" Her voice chimed

I gulped and took a deep breath in, "I don't know who it could be." I said rather monotone

"It's Ina silly, I didn't get to see you because I was busy after school yesterday." She said hugging me tighter

I wanted to throw up. 'Of course you were busy' I thought 'Busy with someone else's boyfriend...'

"JEON JUNGKOOK!" A voice yelled from outside

I squinted a bit, all I could see was a small figure with running halfway towards me before stopping. I unwrapped Ina's arms from me and ran to them. It was Haeri carrying a large bag and breathing heavily.
"Why are you running?!" I asked making her sit on a bench

"It wasn't that far and I need to tell you that the plan starts right now." She said grabbing my arm and standing up

"Haeri are you okay?" Ina asked walking over to us

"I'm just a bit out of breath. I'm gonna borrow Jungkook for a bit. I'm sorry Ina." She said tugging my arm

"Oh yeah uh... I'll see you at lunch." I said leading Haeri away

As soon as we were far from earshot Haeri pulled me aside.
"Alright, let's talk."

Haeri Pov
I pulled a small bag of chocolates out of my bag and placed them in Jungkook's hand. "Whatever you do, protect this with your life."

"Why? Is it important?" He asked gingerly untying it

"Yes, it took me 3 hours to make and is your valentine." I laughed

He stood there a bit dumbfounded at the gift. "Oh thanks Haeri, I've never got one before."

"WHAT?!" I almost yelled, "How do you not get one when you were dating fricken Ina???"

"She always said she was busy so I just kinda spent Valentine's Day last year sleeping." He shrugged

"I'm sorry." I said making a mock crying face

He shook his head laughing a bit, "Laugh all you want Ms.It took me 3 hours to make chocolates." he said sneering at me

I pouted and punched his arm, "I guess this is the thanks I get for being nice."

"Thanks anyway." He said ruffling my hair

"Hey, Kookie. What's up with you and Haeri?" Someone asked

I looked over to see Jin cocking one eyebrow at the both of us

"Nothing, I was just giving him chocolates. Here's yours!" I said handing him a blue bag.

"Thanks Honey, you're the best." He said hugging me

It was always the same. I could never bring myself to hate him, he was always warm and kind. Still his arms around me feel the same, like I'm all fuzzy on the inside.

"Anything for my Jinnie." I said pinching his cheek

"Alright I gotta go to class, Kookie look after her for me." He said smiling and walking away

Everything feels twisted inside of me, I want to hate him and I want to love him. I just want to explode into a million pieces, I hate this. I clenched my teeth and smacked myself hard on the cheek.

"Hey what are you doing?!" Jungkook asked a bit shocked

"I'm sorry, I had to remind myself what we promised." I said half smiling

"...come on let's get to class." He said holding out his arm

Ina had already left to meet Jungkook somewhere I couldn't care less. I had already decided to finish my next period class's homework I didn't do instead anyway. Half way through, I received a text.

Jinnie;) : Haeri come meet me in my classroom, we need to talk
Haeri97 : I'm kinda busy. Sorry :/
Jinnie;) : plsssssss
Haeri97 : okay really quick

I put away my notebook and walked to senior hall. I remember every step down the hallway I took that day, what I saw, how I felt. I took a deep breath before opening the door to the last classroom of the hallway, it was either now or never.

The door swung open and Jin got up and walked over to me, "Hey I heard there was this new cafe down the street and I was wondering if you could come with me after school?" He asked

"After school?" I asked and he nodded, "hmmm I don't know, I think I'm busy today." I said frowning a bit

"Aw really? Okay maybe next time then huh?" He asked looking down

"Of course I promise." I held out my pinky as an automatic response and he took it with his pinky

"Okay you can go back now." Jin said waving me off

I exited the room and loosened my ribbon a bit. The desk Jin sat at was the very one him and Ina.... 'Disgusting.' I thought

I pulled out my phone, I told him I was busy so I guess I could make plans.

Haeri97: Hey you busy after school?
Kookiebun: no why?
Haeri97: cool meet me at the cafe from yesterday
