Sam watched Sierra as she moved over to wait with a few other police officers, her face was lifeless, her eyes were sunk in her face as if she had gone weeks with no sleep.

"Dude, so what happened?" Dean brought Sam out of his trance with Sierra and back to reality,

"What happened with what?" He replied, shooting his brother a look,

"You know," he shrugged, shifting slightly, "Her, and this whole thing!"

Sam shook his head, "Dean now isn't really-"

Dean raised an eyebrow and smirked slightly, "So are you two like," he paused and "you know, together?"

Sam hesitated, and looked over to Sierra again, "I don't know," he sighed, "I mean you know last night, we-" he paused and Dean smirked and raised his eyebrow again and Sam rolled his eyes, "Yeah, but then this morning, she got this phone call and, I dunno i'm just worried about her man,"

Dean nodded, absorbing the information before taking a look at her himself. She looked terrible, but he wasn't suprised, he didn't even think he'd look half as good as her if he lost Sam. He tensed slightly at the thought.

"So," Jodie began, making her way over to the pair of them, "You know this girl?" She asked

"Sam better than me," he chuckled slightly then stopped , "Sorry, not the time," his face turned more serious.

Jodie gave Dean a slight look, along with Sam's glare before carrying on, "Well i knew them both when they were kids, her and her brother, not well mind you but they were good kids, been through hell and back though." She sighed

Sam frowned, "What do you mean?"

"Well their parents were-" jodie paused, and shook her head, "You know, it's probably best if she tells you herself when the time's right."

The brothers nodded slightly, and Sam raised his head slightly to see Sierra moving towards them slowly.

He left Dean and Jodie and went over to check on her.

"You okay?" Sam asked her, approaching her slowly, reaching out and gently touching her shoulder,

She shook her head a little her teeth biting down on her lip with such force her lower lip was beginning to turn white, "Not really," she spoke in a raspy voice, "They want me to identify his body," she took a sharp breath, "Sam, I don't know if I-" her voice cracked and she held her hand up to her mouth to suppress her cry, turning her face away from him.

Sam reached down and took a firm hold of her hand, using his other hand to gently pull her face back to look at him.

"Hey," he said softly, "I'm gonna be right here with you okay?"

She nodded, clenching her jaw again trying to hold back tears as her breathing became slightly shaky. Sam pulled her into a hug and held her head tightly against his chest, gently running his hand over her hair.

"It'll be okay," he whispered to her, feeling her hands grasp him tighter, "I promise,"

He looked over to Dean and Jody who were now watching him and Sierra. The two of them came over and Jodie spoke first,

"If you're ready Sierra, we can go now," Her voice soft and Sierra nodded quickly, Sam walking behind her slowly, his hand resting on the small of her back.

Dean looked over to him and pulled out both badges for him and Sam. He hesitated slightly before taking it and sliding it into his jacket's inner pocket.

"I'm sorry Jodie, but access to the morgue is strictly prohibited to members of the public," A man blocked Sam and Dean off in the doorway,

Dean sighed and the two of them held up their FBI badges, "Sorry pal, we're not just members of the public," Dean gave him a sour smile as his face reddened slightly and he moved back out of their way.

Sierra turned slightly, "You're FBI?" She asked, wiping her eyed a little as she spoke.

Sam paused before nodding, and Sierra looked slightly confused and surprised as she turned away again. Her fists clenching by her sides as Jodie moved to the body covered by a sheet, looking over to Sierra who nodded sharply before Jodie pulled back the fabric covering the corpse's head.

Sierra was stood with her whole body completely still and rigid, staring at the face of the body. His pale face that of her brother's.

"Yes," she choked, "It's him,"

Sierra turned her head to one side and forcing her eyes closed, not wanting to look at her brother like that. She didn't want her last memory of him to be of his white face, his lifeless body.

She wanted to remember how his smile lit up the room, how his mouth twitched slightly when he spoke. The way he-

Stop she thought don't think about him too much, you'll just make it harder on yourself

"I'm so sorry Sierra," Jodie shook her head, "Your brother didn't deserve this, no one does,"

Sierra pressed her lips together into a quite obviously forced smile to give to Jodie and Sam watched as Jodie led her out the door, a hand on her back as she spoke soft words which neither of the two brothers could hear.

"He was just a kid," Dean shook his head, "This is messed up man, werewolves don't tend to go for 16 year boys, something isn't right here,"

Sam nodded in agreement, "We gotta find this thing before it hurts anyone else,"

"Hey man look, how about i go and poke around a bit in the town, i think maybe you should stick with-" Dean turned sharply as he noticed another figure at the door. Sierra.

She gave Dean a slight smile but made over for Sam, who took her into a tight hug again.

"I was meant to protect him," She whimpered slightly into his t-shirt, her voice muffled by his chest, "He was my little brother and I was meant to protect him,"

There was a silence in the room, the only noise being Sierra's crying, hidden slightly by the fabric of Sam's shirt she was pressing her face into.

Dean looked over to the girl. She reminded him of when he was a kid, looking after Sam, guarding him with his life. His heart almost ached when she had said those words about having to protect her little brother, because that's exactly what Dean would say about Sam.

He exchanged a look with Sam who nodded as if to tell him he could go. Once Dean had left the room, Sam slowly pulled himself out of Sierra's arms.

"I think we should go and get some food okay?" His words were soft, sympathetic, "There's a diner a few blocks away we can go to if you want?"

Sierra nodded slowly, allowing Sam to lead her out of the building and down the street to the diner.
